Walk the Earth is an intergenerational project, where story-capturers will capture older peoples perspective on life, using sound and using this to create a human library of wisdom.

After the stories are captured, they will then be shared in an online library of wisdom. Here, other generations will be able to search the library and learn from other people who have experienced similar situations to them.
The project will culminate in an online space and also in an actual exhibition in 2012.
We are aiming to capture 100 stories over the next 2 months, that will result in an exhibition and a website that will create a sound library of shared wisdom.
We’re looking for volunteers to be trained as story capturers
You can become a story capturer and recieve interview and sound training to go out and capture the ways that people walked the earth.

As a Story Capturer, you will venture into care homes/hospices/day
centres to capture how older people have walked the earth.
Volunteers will be trained as story capturers.
You’ll learn how to interview and how to use sound recording
equiptment.
A selection of the walk the earth audio
library will also be exhibited in an
exhibition.
The captured stories will be uploaded onto the
website where anyone can search through the audio
recordings of the captured wisdom.
