FROM PASTOR CRAIG
We are so blessed with the children and teenagers God has given us to grow and disciple, and in the next couple of weeks you’ll get to see just how blessed we are.
This Sunday (February 10th) our Children will be doing it all: music, skits, Scripture reading – even announcements and the offering! You will be blessed as you get to see their knowledge and love for Christ, and they will be blessed with the chance to lead our church family in true worship. This is one we’ll be talking about for a long
time – don’t miss it!
The following Sunday (February 17th) our youth will take over the service as they close out their “Empowered” Disciple Now Weekend. The music and message will be the climax for their most significant spiritual weekend of the year. I promise that not only will you be impressed by our teenagers that day but you too will be spiritually challenged to passionately and powerfully live your faith.
We are so blessed to be able to encourage our kids in their faith with services like these. And we are so blessed to have leaders like Trey Shultz and Tyler Gatewood and the teams that help them. God is doing a great work in both of these crucial ministries and it will be a joy to share in that work the next two Sundays.
(FYI, we will have the early service these two Sundays. We try as hard as we can not to disrupt this service, so I will preach the early service on the 10th and 17th.)
Blessings! Craig

The Student Ministry needs YOUR help in making this weekend a success! DISCIPLE NOW is a weekend where students stay in homes of church members (host homes) and are led in small group Bible studies by college students from Baylor University. Not only are they in host homes, but they are here at the church for a great worship time led by a speaker and a band. On Saturday afternoon of the event, students will be participating in a Missions project.

We had a tremendous time of worship and preaching during our third installment of the old fashioned Sunday Night Service on January 30 th. There were between 90-100 folks who participated and we look forward to meeting TWICE a month from now on – every 2nd and 4th Sunday. Pastor Craig has said in the past that everyone needs to worship in their “heart language” and this is a great time to do just that! Speaking of heart language - the contemporary Saturday night service met for the first
time in the Youth Room on February 2nd. It was a good start and the folks who attended enjoyed it a great deal. Pray that this monthly time will also reach a large audience of our members. Thank you to all the musicians and program leaders who make these events so effective! May the Lord bless each of you.
In Christ, John Berryhill

Student Ministry Fundraising Team
We are looking for a few creative, innovative people to join our Fundraising Team. We are trying to organize a team that will help plan and implement fundraisers for the Student Ministry. The more money we raise, the less students will have to pay for our events. More Students + Less Cost = WIN!
If you are interested in either one of the above, or would like more information, please email the Student Ministry at [email protected].
