KEYNOTE SPEAKERSAlison Levine
Alison Levine is no stranger to punishing environments. She has survived sub-zero temperatures, hurricane force winds, sudden avalanches…and a career on Wall Street.
Levine has climbed the highest peak on every continent, served as the team captain of the first American Women’s Everest Expe-dition, and skied across the Arctic Circle to the geographic North Pole. Her success in extreme environments is noteworthy given she had three heart surgeries and also suffers from a neurologi-cal disease that causes the arteries that feed her fingers and toes to collapse in cold weather, leaving her at extreme risk for frostbite
Levine currently serves as an adjunct professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point where she lectures on the topic of leading teams in extreme environments. She is the author of the New York Times best-selling book On the Edge, which is a compilation of lessons she learned during her various expeditions.

Join us this year and support the Florida Bankers Educational Foundation (FBEF) by participating in a 3k/5k Fun Walk/Run on the beach at the Waldorf Astoria in Naples. All race proceeds benefit the Foundation, which provides forgivable loans to students committed to a career in the Florida banking industry. The FBEF has existed for over 50 years and has enabled thousands of Florida students to complete their college or graduate degrees
and make a commitment to a banking career in our state. Even if you don’t actually walk or run in the event, your purchase of a FBEF Race Day t-shirt will benefit the Foundation (and what’s better than getting a race-day shirt without having to do the race!). All On June 17th in Naples, Florida, the FBA will host the 2nd Annual Warrior Classic Golf Tournament. proceeds will benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project provides assistance to our military men and women returning from service to our country and the Folds of Honor Foundation provides college scholarships to the children of our soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We have a chance to thank our true heroes and their families; we can make a long term impact on their lives.
FBA golfers will be joined in Naples by Major Ed Pulido, U.S.
Army (Ret.), VP of the Folds of Honor Foundation. On
August 17, 2004, Major Pulido hit an Improvised Explosive
Device (roadside bomb) while serving with the Coalition
Military Assistance Training Team in Iraq. Due to extensive
injuries to his left knee and after 17 surgeries, doctors had
to amputate his leg on October 1, 2004. For his heroism and
valor on that August day, the President of the United States
along with General David Petraeus awarded him the Bronze
Star with Valor, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal,
and Joint Service Commendation and Achievement Medals.
