IN DESIGN FILES SHOULD BE
SENT AS A PACKAGED FILE
While we prefer print ready PDF files with crop marks and bleed, if a customer wants us to have editable files this is how
to Package an Indesign file:
Choose File!Package. The Package dialog box opens. The Summary screen shows you all current images and fonts in the document, based on an analysis of that document.
Click Fonts in the list on the left side of the dialog box.Any fonts in your document are listed on this screen. Select fonts from this list and click the Find Font button to discover where they’re located. These fonts are saved directly into the package folder when you finish.
Click Links and Images in the list on the left side of the dialog box.The Links and Images screen lists the images within your document. Find the image, update it, and repair links before packing the file. If any images aren’t properly linked, your document is incomplete and prints with pictures missing.
When you’re finished, click the Package button at the bottom of the dialog box.Your document and all its associated files are saved into a folder. You’re given the opportunity to name the folder and specify a location on your hard drive.
The Below is a proper packaged document and all the folders that should be sent a long with the .indd file.

What’s in a Wall?
A lot !!!
From cement to glass, branded environments are covering many different surface types these days.
01The Importance of Wall Preparation
02Are your graphics temporary or permanent?
03
The preparation of a wall is the most vital part of the installation process. Vinyl graphics will not adhere to unfinished drywall or primer, so the wall must be properly prepared. These instructions must be
followed or the graphic will fail and futher expenses may incur.
Please bring any wall obstructions, i.e. outlets, permanent signage, fire alarms to our attention so that these details can be cleared with the installer.
The painted wall must first be primed all the way to the perimeter edges.
Any imperfections in the wall (paint drips, grooves, indentations, bumps) will showthrough wall graphic and may even be magnified in some lighting situations.
Paint MUST dry for a minimum of 7 full days prior to installation.
NOTES AND TIPS
Windows — wipe clean with cleaning solution, i.e. glass cleaner, soapy water, etc...; all tape glue or sticky substances must be scraped away
Plastic / Metal Surfaces — remove dirt/dust, wipe clean, and check for imperfections
Wood / Concrete / Brick — remove all dust and debris; if power washing is necessary, area must dry for 12 hours prior to installation.
OTHER SURFACES
Drywall is to be taped, mudded, and sanded to a smooth level surface. Take care to wipe away all dust and remove access mud. Sanding a second time may be necessary to ensure eveness.
Prime the dried mud with the recommended PVA primer, two coats if necessary, and paint with semi-gloss latex paint to a Level 5 finish*.
Check for paint drips and imperfections, and let wall cure for 7 days before installation. Install.
WALL GRAPHIC PROCEDURE
* Level 5 finish refers to a very high quality smooth finish, using the procedure above.
