Consumer Confidence in Australia in the week ending October 26 2014 reached 114.6 points, the highest level in 12 weeks. This lift in
Consumer Confidence, alongside indications of a gradual transitions towards the non-mining economy, is encouraging.

Domestic Travel through Perth Airport
The number of passengers travelling on intrastate flights in and out of Perth Airport in September 2014 was significantly
greater than the same month last year (+8.5%). Alternatively, the number of passengers travelling on interstate flights saw a
decline (-2.5%). September 2014 was the fifth month in a row that interstate PAX numbers were lower than the same month
last year, an unusual trend for the interstate market which as typically seen consistent growth over the past 10 years.
Year to date (YTD) PAX for the intrastate market is just above the same time period last year (+1.6%) while the reverse
applies for interstate YTD PAX (-1.3%).

International arrivals into Perth continue to grow. The number of foreign national arrivals into Perth Airport in September
2014 was consistent significantly greater than September 2013 (+7.4%).
Both foreign national arrivals and PAX (inbound and outbound movements) show strong growth for the YTD (+7.3% and
+7.9% respectively).

Arrivals from WA’s top long haul Asian market, China, continue to grow, with growth of (+8.8%) in September 2014
compared to September 2013.
While arrivals from Japan saw some growth (+3.6%) and arrivals from Korea saw a decline (-8.1%) in September 2014
compared to the same month last year, each of the key long haul Asian markets show strong YTD growth.

UK arrivals were relatively consistent in September 2014 with the number seen in September 2013 (-1.1%). The total
number of arrivals from this market for the YTD is consistent with the same time period last year (-0.7%).
Arrivals into Perth Airport from Germany increased significantly (+12.7%) in September 2014 compared to the same month
last year, while arrivals from the USA declined (-10.6%). Both of these long haul markets of show strong YTD growth.

Arrivals into Perth from WA’s key short haul markets continue to growth, with each of New Zealand, Malaysia, and Singapore
seeing strong growth from September 2013 to September 2014. Singapore in particular saw significantly strong growth, with
arrivals increasing by (+) 36.9%.
Each of the key short haul markets show strong YTD growth in arrivals.

Total PAX China in and out of Perth Airport grew strongly in September 2014 compared to September 2013 (+10.0%), while
total PAX for the other key Asian long haul markets of Japan and Korea remained consistent (-0.8% and -1.3% respectively).

Total PAX for the Germany market increased significantly in September 2014 compared to September 2013, with (+) 16.8%
more PAX. This market is showing strong YTD growth of (+) 8.0%.
The USA market saw slight growth in PAX in September 2014 (+2.4%) and is showing growth of (+) 5.1% for the YTD.
Meanwhile, PAX for the UK market declined in September 2014 compared to the same month year prior (-3.4%) and is
showing YTD PAX consistent with the same time period last year (+0.3%).

WA vs. Australia - Foreign National Arrivals (Monthly Data - % Change August 2013 to August 2014)
The number of foreign national arrivals to WA in August 2014 compared to August 2013 was down (-) 1%, while nationally
foreign national arrivals increased by (+) 3%.
WA significantly outperformed the national average in percentage growth from the Germany and Korea markets, although
growth in arrivals from China (11%) was surpassed by the national growth rate for this market (21%).

Growth in foreign national arrivals to WA for YTD August 2014 is just behind the national average (7% growth for WA, 9%
growth for Australia).
WA is significantly outperforming Australia in growth from Singapore, New Zealand, and Korea, but is well behind the
national average of growth from Malaysia, Germany, and the USA.

Perth Accommodation – Occupancy Rates (August 2014)
The occupancy rate in August 2014 in Perth CBD was 90.8%, (+) 2.2% greater than the same month the year prior.
Average occupancy in Perth CBD for the YTD is 1% greater than the same time period last year.

From September 2013 to September 2014, the ADR of Perth CBD hotels declined by (-) 3.0% to $209.02 (down from
$215.51).
RevPar also declined, although not as significantly (-0.9% from $191.56 to $189.80).
Both ADR and RevPAR are showing negative YTD growth of (-) 5.3% and (-) 4.4% respectively.
