then, JGCF has granted more than $19 million to fund groundbreaking
and promising research at
hospitals and research institutions across the country, as well as
open the Jeff Gordon Children’s Center in Concord, N.C. and the

CHARLOTTE OBSERVER SUNDAY NOVEMBER 10 2019
O ne of Charlotte’s premier holiday events, the Southern Christmas
Show returns with a
Woodland Christmas theme! This year’s show will feature a
life-sized log cabin built into the main en- trance and
forest-inspired deco- rations that will make attendees feel as
though they’re strolling through wintry woods while they
shop.
The log cabin and fire pit at this year’s show entrance were
created by Charlotte-based Big Bad Props, which specializes in
one-of-a-kind props, sets and displays. Ballard Designs handled the
interior design and décor for the cabin and wood- land décor, as
well as the show’s dazzling designer rooms next door, which will
leave guests inspired with ideas to make their own homes shine
during this holiday season.
