Our Prayer: We ask now in Faith, Hope & Love that you look with favour on our drought stricken land & our fire ravaged areas. Sustain, strengthen & give hope to farmers & all affected by drought. In your loving

providence please send abundant rain & renew the faith of your people & the face of our land. We pray for those lives & livelihoods affected by recent fires. We pray for those who have lost homes & businesses, are scared

& have been traumatized by their experience, comfort & heal them in body, mind & spirit

& give them hope of restoration. Amen.

Top of the Christmas wish list for Regina Caeli is some parishioners

wishing to act as Sacristans, mainly for Sat 6pm & Sun 8.30am Masses. Sacristans assist in making the Mass

run smoothly. Sacristans duties include preparing items for Mass &

clearing away just like preparing the evening meal but you don’t have to cook it. Ideally we would hope for

enough volunteers to be rostered on one Sunday/month. All Sacristans will be instructed accordingly.

From Fr John…

Today we begin our Church’s New Year with

the First Sunday in Advent. Over the next

four weeks we prepare to celebrate Jesus

entry into our human history at Bethlehem.

Isaiah, the prophet of hope, is present in

this season. Writing for the people in Jerusa-

lem in the 8th Century BC, he encourages the

people under threat of entire destruction,

God is present with new life to those who

remain faithful. Advent enables us to begin

again in the hope and conviction that God is

offering us that same forgiveness & renewal.
