The Dashboard

This is the Dashboard page of the site. You can select Send one survey, Send

Multiple surveys, or Quick Enter by clicking on any one of these options.

On the Dashboard page, you can also go directly to the list of completed

Assignments (assessments), Comparisons (composite reports), or Settings

(assigning/managing users/groups) by clicking the options at the top of the

screen.

Dashboard Page

When you scroll down on the Dashboard page you will see on the left a list of

surveys in the Inbox these are surveys that have been completed by a

candidate/employee. On the right is the Pending surveys these are surveys

that have been sent to a candidate/employee and are awaiting completion.

You will also see on the right the Credit Summary which provides an overview

of your usage per assessment including the Word Survey (WS), Job Survey (JS),

Mental Agility Test (MAT) and Self-Development Report (SDS).

On the left is the News option where each month a new release will be

accessible noting any changes or updates to the platform and other such as

webinars, lunch and learns and customer newsletter.

Sending Assessments

To send an assessment select Send on the Dashboard which will take you to

this screen where you can select the assessment you are sending out (JS, WS,

SDS, or MAT) by clicking the down arrow under Assessment and fill in the

candidate/employee Email, First Name, Last Name, Gender and Language

along with the number of days given to complete the assessment and any

Group that you want it listed under. Then select Submit. The assessment will

be sent to the candidate/employee via email with a notification from McQuaig.

The notification includes a link to the assessment and it appears as this:

Hi [Name],

[Company XYZ] has invited you to complete a McQuaig Word Survey. A link to the survey can be found below, and it

must be completed by 2017-07-07. If you have any questions about this survey or its content, please contact

[Company XYZ].

Send Multiple Assessments

If you are sending the survey to multiple candidates/employees at once, you

can select Send Multiple from the Dashboard and it takes you to this screen.

Enter the first persons Email, First Name, Last Name and Gender. Then click

the + sign to add the next candidate/employee. Enter all candidates/employees

that you will be sending the survey to for the same position. You also have the

option to download a list from a CSV File.

Send Multiple Assessments

Once you have entered the names of the candidates/employees that you are

sending the assessment to, on the right, select the Assessment that you want

to send by clicking the down arrow, the Language to send the assessment to

the candidate/employee in, the Expiry Date, and input a Label for this group

(such as Senior Sales Executive), then select Submit. All assessments will be

sent to the candidates/employees at the same time. They will appear under

the Pending folder on the Dashboard until completed.

If there is an error in an email address or the assessment fails to deliver you will

receive the following message:

The assessment sent to [email protected] failed to complete due to "Bounced (4.0.0)". This is

typically caused by email delivery problems.

Please fix the issue before sending it again.

Quick Enter Option

To enter scores manually, select Quick Enter and it takes you to this screen.

Select the type of assessment scores you need to enter by clicking one of the

options including Word Survey, Job Survey, Mental Agility Test, or Self

Development Survey.

Quick Enter: Job Survey

For example, if you selected Job Survey, this screen will appear. You can enter

information such as the Position Title in in

Last Name, Label can be the position Title (if preferred), Language and Job

Title (ei. Senior Sales Executive). Then enter the scores manually at the

bottom of the page for each of the four traits (DO, SO, RE, CO). The scores must

total 168. Select Submit and the scores will be entered and the report will be

available.

It is rare that you may enter scores manually; however, the option is provided if

needed.

Resend or Delete a Survey

To Resend an assignment that has Expired or Delivery Failed, select the

survey that was initially sent from the Assignments page, select the Pencil

Icon where changes need to be made, make the changes necessary, select the

Check Mark to confirm the changes, and then select Resend in the top right

corner of the screen.

You also have the option to Delete Assignment. If an assessment has been

deleted in error, you have the option to retrieve it back; contact our help desk

for assistance.

The third option is to Send New, which is to send a new assessment to the

candidate.

The Email Log will track any additional times the assessment has been resent

or sent to another person.

Editing/Changing Survey Details

To change details on an assessment, including Email, First Name, Last Name,

Gender, Label, Client, Group, or Language select the assessment from the

Assignments page, click the Pencil Icon beside the section to be changed and

edit the details, then click the check mark to confirm the correction. You have

the option to Resend, Send New, or Delete Assignment on the top right

corner.

Editing/Changing Survey Details

You will also see the Email Log as you scroll down the page which tracks the

Date, Recipient Email, Type and Note regarding the assessment that has

been changed/resent.

Assignments

The Assignments page provides a list of assessments that are Complete,

Open, Expired or Delivery Failed in your account. It displays the First Name,

Last Name, Email, the Type of assessment (JS, WS, SDS, MAT), when it was

Sent, the Status of it (Open, Completed, Expired, Delivery Failed), the Label (if

there is one), the Profile Type, and Bookmark. This page will list up to 100

most recent assessments, you can select next page to see previous

assessments.

If you are looking for an assessment that is not listed on the current page, you

can select Filter By to do a search.

You also have the option to Bookmark an assessment. This is useful for the Job

top of the list of Composites when you compare a candidates Word Survey to a

Composite (benchmark).

Filter By

To search for an assessment, go to Assignments page, select Filter By and this

screen will appear. Fill in some or all of the detailed information including First

Name, Last Name, Sender, Email, Group (select group name), Status (Open,

Completed, Expired, Delivery Failed), Type (Word Survey, Job Survey, MMAT,

Self-Development Survey), Sent (Date/Time Frame), and Label. Select Apply

and it will pull up any assessments related to your request. To select Reset will

clear this screen and allow you to start over.

Filter By

After you select Apply, this screen will appear with all related reports based on

the information that was input in the previous screen.

You also have the option to export data to CSV.

Generate Reports: Job Survey Report

To generate reports, you can go to the Assignments page to select the report.

To retrieve a Job Survey, select the Benchmark/Title from the Assignments

page and this screen appears. Select Generate Report and you will see the

drop down for Job Survey Report, click that.

Generate Reports: Job Survey Report

After selecting Generate Report you have the option to select the sections of

the Job Survey Report to include; either Select All or uncheck the sections

you do not want included. Select the Interview Questions Type (General,

Management or Sales) by clicking the drop-down arrow, and select the

Language. To retrieve the report, you have the option to Open in New Tab,

Download, or Email the report.

Generate Report: Job Survey Report

This report is created in a pdf document and will provide you with the details

of that benchmark/position, including the sections you selected, and a

description of the type of traits you are looking for in a candidate for this role.

Generate Reports: Word Survey Report

To generate other reports once it is complete, select the report from the

Dashboard page or the Assignments page. This page above will appear. It

includes the information about the candidate/employee on the left and the

Response on the right which includes the Profile Type, Duration (length of

time it took to complete the assessment- average is 15-20 minutes), and the

Situational and Real Scores for the four traits.

Generate Reports: Word Survey Report

To retrieve a copy of the detailed report, select Generate Report and you will

see the options to retrieve one of the following reports: Word Survey Report,

Executive Summary Report, Feedback Report, Job Fit Interview Guide, or

Self Development Survey Report.

Word Survey Report -

temperament relating to four traits and comparison to the position they are

being interviewed for (if you include the Assessment of Job Fit section) along

with identifying the candidates/

Executive Summary Report Provides a summarized overview of the

candidate/employee including the graph, Potential Assets, Developmental

Considerations, Leadership Summary (if selected), Selling Style (if selected),

Motivating Strategies, Coaching Guidelines.

Feedback Report A one-page summary of the candidate/employee; used for

candidate feedback who you have interviewed, however did not hire; and/or

employee feedback.

Job Fit Interview Guide Job Fit Interview Guide identifies if the person is a

Strong Match, Potential Match, or Does Not Match the role you are

interviewing them for. This can be included with the Word Survey report or

retrieved separately.

Self-Development Survey Report This report is written in second person, is

suited to give to an employee for self-development and personal insight along

with using for coaching and with performance assessments.

Generate Reports: Word Survey Report

After you select the Word Survey report to generate, this screen appears where

you can select the sections of the report that you want to include. Click each

section to check or uncheck the portions to include.

The Profile, Interpretation Report, Leadership Profile, Selling Style, Interview

Questions, and Assessment of Job Fit are essential for the interviewing of a

candidate.

The Management Overview, Motivating Factors, Strategies for Coaching and

Developing, Developmental Learning Style, and Team Approach can be

used in the interviewing stage for further insight about the candidate along

with using it at the point of onboarding and coaching and developing the

employee.

Generate Reports: Word Survey Report

If you include the Assessment of Job Fit, you must select the Job Survey or

Composite by clicking the None to see the list of benchmarks you have

created and selecting the one that you have in the dropdown menu to

compare that candidate/employee to. This is also where the Bookmarked Job

Surv ist with an asterisk beside it.

Select the Report Style (Regular = Colour; Print Friendly = Black and White,

except the graph), select the type of interview questions (General,

Management, or Sales) by clicking under Interview Questions Type, and

select Language for the report to be retrieved in. To retrieve the report, you

have the option to Open in New Tab, Download, or Email it.

Once you select the option to Open in New Tab (as above), Download, or

Email the report, you will receive the report within a few seconds as a pdf

document.

Generate Reports: Executive Summary Report

Executive Summary Report Provides a summarized overview of the

candidate/employee including the graph, Potential Assets, Developmental

Considerations, Leadership Summary (if selected), Selling Style (if selected),

Motivating Strategies, Coaching Guidelines. This is a short, 2-3 page, report.

The Executive Summary Report is useful for a quick overview of the candidate.

You have the option to include the Job Survey or Composite with this report

which will include the three graphs Benchmark, Situation and Real of the

candidate.

Generate Reports: Feedback Report

The Feedback Report is a brief and general, one-page summary of the

candidate/employee profile and a report which you can email to a candidate

that you interviewed, however did not hire, or for a candidate you hired, and/or

an internal employee.

retrieve this report or send to a candidate/employee. This is helpful for opening

discussion and providing coaching and feedback.

The Job Fit Interview Guide provides tips for before, during and after the

interview, including the Graphical Summary, Summary of Job Fit, Gap

Analysis and Strength Analysis, along with Interview and Reference

Checking Questions.

well they fit the position (Strong Match, Potential Match, Does Not Match)

along with additional interview questions. This report is retrieved separate from

the Word Survey; however, can be included with the Word Survey.

Generate Report: Self Development Survey

The Self Development Report empowers employees to manage their own

development and provides personal insights. It offers feedback and suggested

goals. It provides opportunity for coaching and direction for the employee on

each trait, identifying their strengths and areas for development. Select

Generate Report and then Self Development Report to retrieve this report.

Comparisons

Comparisons can be used for multiple purposes including comparing

candidates WS reports and/or comparing them to a benchmark, creating

benchmarks for positions by combining multiple by

exploring Profile Types.

You can create Comparison reports by selecting +Add New in the top right

corner. Enter a title for a comparison group and it will open the next screen to

create a comparison.

Here you can Add Assignments (+Add) or Delete by clicking the - beside the

Generate Comparison Report

The Generate Comparison Report provides you with a visual in graph format

of the results of the comparison. When you select Generate Comparison

Report you will see this page which gives you the options of what

sections/formats of the report to include such as Profile Type Breakdown (Pie

Graph), Vertical Comparison, and Horizontal Comparison.

You also have the option to compare this group to a Job Survey or Composite

for the position you are interviewing for by selecting that drop-down menu and

the position you want to compare them to. This will provide an overlap in the

Profile Type Breakdown Pie Graph of the benchmark to the number of profile

types that fit that position.

and building an organization.

This Profile Type Breakdown (sample pie graph) shows the candidates profile

types along with the (Job Survey) Generalist profile overlapping those who are

the same profile. This is great for comparing candidates to the role you are

hiring for.

Settings

The Settings allows you to add/edit/delete Top-Level Users and create Groups.

Top-Level Users are the primary administrators on your account and have the

option to be set up with a specific level of access to the platform including:

None, Full, View or Send. Full means they have the ability to send

assessments, retrieve any reports on file and make changes to reports or the

platform, and add/edit/delete users. View allows the person to only view

reports. Send allows the person to only send assessments. As a Top-Level user,

you have the permissions to add other users by selecting Add User to Top

Level and selecting the level of access they require or you can Delete users

from your account.

Groups can be used to set up divisions, departments, groups, or individual

users of the platform. As a Top-Level User, you can set up Groups and have

access to all Groups.

Top Level Users

To add a Top-Level User, select Add User to Top-Level and this screen will

appear; input their Email Address, First Name, Last Name, and select the

Permissions None, Full, View, or Send. Then select Submit and that

person/group will be added to your account and appear on the Settings

screen under Top-Level Users. That person will receive an email notification

from [email protected] with a link to sign in with their email and create a

password.

Top Level Users

You also have the option to select existing users to Edit or Delete the user. To

Edit or Delete user, select that user and make required changes by clicking a

Pencil Icon or Add/Remove Group Access for that user, and change

Permission, then select Submit once changes are complete.

Groups

Under Settings, you also have the option to create Groups by selecting Create

New Group in the top right corner.

Groups: Add New Group

When you select Create New Group this page appears where you can add the

title [ei. Recruiter John Sample]. Enter the title you would like to give that

group and select Submit.

Settings: Group Added

Once the Group is added you will see it listed under Groups on the Settings

screen and you can select it to make changes, add users, or produce reports.

Groups: Add Users

This screen appears when you click the Group [Recruiter John Sample].

You have the option to Add User to Group, editing the group name by

selecting the Pencil Icon; Delete this group by selecting the Delete Group

option; or Merge this group by selecting Merge Group.

Add New Users to the Group

To add specific users to a group, select Add User to Group and this screen

appears. Input the information including Email, First Name, Last Name, and

level of Permissions (None, Full, View, Send) for the user. Select Submit and

that person will be added to that group and receive an email from

[email protected] with a link to sign in with the email and create a

password.

Group: Users

Once you have entered the users for this group, the individuals appear under

Users within that Group.

To Edit the Users, click the individual user and edit as required.

To Edit the Group, select the pencil icon beside the Group: [Sales Managers].

To Delete the Group, select the Delete Group option.

To combine two groups, select the Merge Group option.

Edit User Details

To edit the individual User, click the name and this screen appears; make the

changes necessary by clicking the Pencil Icon. Under Group Access select

Add user to group, select the Group to add access to and level of Permissions

for that group, then Resend Invitation or select Submit.

You also have the option to Delete User.

Merge Groups

You do have the option to merge one group with other groups by selecting

Merge Group in the top right corner.

Merge Groups

Select the drop-down arrow under Group to Merge Into and select the Group

to merge with. Then select Submit. A notice will pop up stating This step is

not reversible. Proceed? Select OK or Cancel. The two groups will merge all of

the users under both groups into one group.

Login to MO

Once you are added to your account as an administrator, you will receive an

email notification from [email protected] with a link to the McQuaig

platform. You can sign in with your email and create your own password.

Forgot Password

If you forgot your password, at the Login Page, select Forgot Your Password.

This screen will appear; enter your email address and select Submit. You will

receive an email notification with a link to reset your password.

This is the notification you will receive via email (see below) here

and it will take you to this screen to reset your password. Enter the New

Password and Confirm Password then select Submit.

Account Set Up

Your account will be set up by your McQuaig Client Success Manager or a

McQuaig staff member. You will receive an email notification from the email

address [email protected] stating that you have been added to the site.

Follow this information for set up:

1) Whitelist/Add the email address [email protected] to your address

book.

3) Our site is compatible with IE 9 and above (10+ is recommended),

Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

4) Support requests can be called in at 416-941-9418 or send an email to

If you do not receive the email notification in your Inbox, reference to the

following:

1) Check your junk mail/spam folder for an email from

[email protected] . If it appears in that folder, add this email

address to your address book.

2) If you have an IT department, request for them to the

address [email protected] and email imp 192.254.112.51.

3) If you do not have an IT department, the email address

[email protected] yourself. You can reference to this site

instructions about how to an email. Once that is complete, either

resend the account invite or the survey to the employee/candidate.
