COSMOPOLITAN BRAINTREEA VIBRANT, MODERN AND HISTORIC TOWN

Set on the River Blackwater in the heart of Essex, Braintree is a vibrant town with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, a great location and a good range of amenities. Dating back 4000 years, the town still has some fine old buildings, including the magnificent former town hall and the ancient St Michael’s Church. Yet, it’s by no means stuck in the past, with a contemporary, cosmopolitan feel created by tasteful modern development in the town centre. Trains run regularly from Braintree to central London via Witham.

Set on the border of Cressing and Braintree, Stilemans Acre offers easy access to the A120, which takes you west to Great Dunmow, the M11 and Stansted Airport (around 15 miles away) and east to the A12, Colchester and the East Coast.
