General Questions

What is Vulavu?

Vulavu is a private photo-sharing system that lets you securely share images between individuals or a group of

people. You decide on what to share and who to share it with.

How does Vulavu keep my messages and photos private?

All messages and photos remain on Vulavu's secure encrypted site. That means messages and photos sent from

Vulavu are never downloaded to the recipients' computer or device. In addition, all photos are watermarked for

your protection and you can place a time limit on access.

What else can I do with Vulavu?

Vulavu is also a great way to organize your photos. With Vulavu you are able arrange and sort your photos into

different Galleries. Plus, you can share those Galleries with others.

You have access to a custom Profile and place to maintain your own list of Contacts.

How do I register for Vulavu?

You can register for Vulavu by visiting the Home page and clicking either "Register" at the top of the page or

the "Register Now" link at the bottom of the page.

Fill in the Registration form and Click "Register". You will receive a confirmation email.

How much does it cost to use Vulavu?

Vulavu has two membership levels both have unlimited messaging to users and external email addresses, but

Paid members can send unlimited single photo invitations (free members two per day) and 50 SMS and photo

invitations (100/ per year). Paid membership is less than $20 a year: $9.95 for six months or $17.95 for a year.)

How do I upgrade my Vulavu account?

Once you are logged into your account, click on the "Upgrade" button in the menu bar.

Creating Your Vulavu Profile

How do I get to my Profile?

Click the "Profile" link on the main menu.

How do I add a Profile Photo?

Go the Profile Page and click the image box below to choose your photo.

How do I edit my Account Settings?

Choose "Edit Account Settings" from the Profile page.

Make changes to your account as desired.

How do I Edit my Profile?

Choose "Edit Profile" from the Profile page.

Make the desired adjustments to your Profile information.

How do I upgrade my membership?

Choose "Upgrade Membership" from the Profile page.

Once you read about Membership benefits, simply click "Upgrade Membership" and choose your option.

How do I change my Password?

Choose "Change Password" from the Profile page.

Enter your old password, your desired new password, and finally confirm the new password. Our system will

check to make sure they new password and "confirm" password are the same.

Vulavu Message Center

What is the Message Center?

The Message Center is where you create new messages or send photo invites. You view current conversations

and sent messages.

How do I access the Message Center?

Click the "Mailbox" link on the main menu bar.

How do I send a new message?

From the Message Center, click the "Create New Message or Photo Invite" button.

Choose from an email message, text, or Vulavu user message. Add your subject and message. You can choose

to add a Photo or Gallery invite.

HotShot

What is a HotShot

A HotShot is a One-Click way to send a quick, private photo that's safer than a text . Access expires

automatically in 24 hours or you can set it to expire in one hour!

How do I send a HotShot?

Click the "HotShot" button on the Home page.

Browse your computer and choose your image.

Fill in the recipient email address.

You may choose "Fast Expire" if you want to limit access to one hour.

Click "Send HotShot Now" and your HotShot is on its way!

How do I access other options can I have use with HotShot and what are they?

Click the "Show Optional Features" button.

Now you have the option to add your email address, a personal message, and receive an email when your

HotShot is viewed.

Vulavu Photos

How do I add a photo?

Click "Photos" to go to the Photos page.

Click "Add Photos" button.

On the Upload Photo page, browse to choose your photo and then click "Upload". It's that easy!

Your new photo will now appear on the main Photos page.

How do I access options for my photo?

Click the link "Photo Options" underneath the desired photo. This will take you to the Photo Details page.

The Photo Detail page tells you the gallery location of the photo, a description (caption), upload date, and

status. From this page you can send invitations, edit photo, change gallery location, and delete the photo(s).

How do I send a Photo or Gallery invitation?

There is more than one way to send an invitation. You can send it from the Photo page, from Photo Details, or

from the Message Center.

How do I send a Photo or Gallery invite from the Message Center?

In the Message Center, choose "Create New Message or Photo Invite".

Fill in the message form and choose "Attach Photo Invitation" or "Attach Photo Gallery".

Choose your desired photo.

How do I send a Photo from the Photo Details page?

On the Photo Details page, choose "Send Invite to Photo".

Fill in the message form and choose "Attach Photo Invitation" or "Attach Photo Gallery".

Choose your desired photo.

How do I send a Photo invite from the Photos page?

Choose the "Send Photo Invite" option beneath the desired photo.

Fill in the message form and choose "Attach Photo Invitation" or "Attach Photo Gallery".

Choose your desired photo.

How do I move a photo to a new Gallery?

From the Photo Details page, choose "Edit/Move Photo"

Use the drop down menu to choose the desire Gallery.

How do I delete a photo? On the Photo Details page, choose "Delete Photo".

Confirm you have the correct photo you want delete and click "Delete".

How do I add a caption to my photo?

Click "Photos" to go to the Photos page.

Locate the photo that needs a caption and click "Photo Options" underneath the photo.

On the "Photo Details page, choose the "Edit/Move Photo" option.

On the "Edit Photo Details" page, enter your caption in the box and click "Save".

How can see a larger version of my photo?

The "Click to Enlarge" link is located on the right corner of your photo on the Photo Details page.

How can I delete all of my photos at one time?

Go to the Photo Details page. Choose the "Delete All Photos" link.

Confirm you really want to delete all photos. Click "Delete All Photos".

Vulavu Galleries

How do I access Vulavu Galleries?

Click the "Photos" link in the menu bar.

Your Galleries are located on the right side of the page.

How do I create a Gallery?

Scroll down to the bottom of the Galleries listing and choose "Add New Gallery".

Enter the name of your new Gallery and click "Create".

Your new Gallery will now be listed on the Photo Details page.

How do I add change a Gallery name?

Choose the desired Gallery from the Photos page and click "Edit Gallery".

Enter a new Gallery name.

How do I send a Gallery invite?

Go to the Photo Details page. Locate the desired Gallery on the right side of the page. Choose "Send Invite to

Gallery".

Fill in the message with recipient information and a message. You can choose to limit the number of views or

add a "Fast Expire" option. Your Gallery is already attached, so just press "Send".

Vulavu Contacts

How do I get to the Contact page?

Click the "Contacts" link on the main menu.

On the Contacts page you will find a list of Contacts.

How do I message my Contacts?

Chose the envelope icon for the person you want to message on the Contacts page.

Fill in the message form and send your message.

How do I edit my Vulavu Contacts?

On the Contacts page, choose the Profile Icon.

Make changes to your Contact's Profile, create a note, and determine texting permission.

How do I delete a Contact? Choose the "X" option on the Contacts page.

Confirm that you want to Delete the contact. You can also chose to "Block" the Vulavu member from

contacting you.

Invitations

How do I get to my Invitations?

Click on the "Invitations" link in the main menu.

What can I do on the Invitations page?

On the Invitations page you can see Sent and Received invitations and their associated information such as

permissions granted, expired invitations, how often the invitation was viewed, and invitation password. You can

also Create a new Message or Photo Invite.

Troubleshooting

I lost my password. Help!

If you need to reset your password, just click the "Forgot Password" on the login page. You will receive an

email with instructions on resetting your password.
