VT Winter Postal League 2014 Week 3 Results

Welcome to Week Three of this Year’s Vermont Winter Postal League. Albion PA once again came in first this week with a team score of 1579, led by Nate Pavolko and teammate Joe Shrader who led the league with a 398. Nate fired a perfect 100 standing. We had a tie this week for second place this week between St. James NY and Whitehall NY both teams fired a 1574, however Jamestown had a slightly higher team standing score. Jamestown was led by Clayton Hanson and Ben Swanson who both fired a 395, Whitehall was led by John Hollister who also fired a 395. We also had some very close races this week between Quaker Hill CT 1559 & Burlington VT 1558 for 5th & 6th Place. Also St. Lawrence edged out the Sharpshooters by 1425 to 1424. We have had 113 shooters compete so far this season, 88, 4-P shooters fired so far with a league average of 363 and 25 Prone Shooters with a league average of 315.

This week’s Division Leaders remain the same with Whitehall in the East and AIbion in the West. All-Star Action, the West, outshot the East this week 1586 to 1580. So at this point is East 2 West 1 (East 4752-West 4747).

Congratulations goes out to, two of our junior shooters, Ben Swanson of Jamestown NY ,(for the NYS team) , and Eric Sloan of Quaker Hill CT, (for the CT Team), both selected for the National Junior Olympic Championship Program to be held at the training center in Colorado this April. Congratulations Ben and Eric. Make sure to share some pictures with us on facebook when the time comes.

We still have a number of ties in the league average section however you can start to see your three person groups starting to take shape. I hope to take some time next week and break some of the ties based on standing. You will notice that ties are in bold.

I ask once again to try and get your scores to me as soon as possible to give me additional lead time in entering the figures and getting out the results. Week 4 results should be out by Monday night.
