I attended the Bottesford Egg Run and for once the weather was kind, there was a good turn out from Centre 9 with the majority meeting at the Unicorn at Gunthorpe Bridge for a ride in to Bottesford to be joined by a number of others at the start point. The run was very well attended and after coffee and hot cross buns at Grantham Leisure Centre, some rode on to Melton Mowbray and finally to Joes. On Easter Sunday Brian, Chris and Lorraine organised a run to the Linclonshire Vintage Vehicle Museum open day. There were some interesting old vehicles and plenty of literature for sale about old buses. You could even take a ride on a vintage bus if you desired. Finally as you will know from the last newsletter Paul and I attended Roger Carters funeral – over the Easter Weekend he made his finally journey as his ashes were scattered in the Solent from an Inshore Life Boat. Ride Safe Everyone Clare & Mark – Editors Hi Everyone, Not much to report and like last month the bike hasn’t been out of the garage. This will all change this weekend with the Gathering of the Clans. The weekend after is the charity cheque presentation. As usual, I will be leading a ride out from the Friendly Farmer at Newark. For timings, etc. look out for Brian’s text or contact me directly. The Lincolnshire Ride out in May will be to the new International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln. It’s on Sunday 13 th May and cost will be £10 with the money going towards the Centre and the RAF Benevolent Fund. Tickets can be obtained from www.inspirelincoln.org.uk. I received the sticker to attach to my bike today. Tickets can be purchased on the day but they are asking, if possible, for them to be purchased in advance to make things easier on the day. Meeting at the Friendly Farmer, Newark A46/A17/A1 Roundabout NG24 2NY at 0930 for a 1000 start. They are open from 9 for breakfast, coffee, toilets etc. Towards the end of the month is the Rally in the Hotel so hope to see some of you there. Looking forward to seeing where the ride out will take us. It will be hard to beat last years. The next meeting is on Tuesday 10 th April at the Jolly Scotsman, Sleaford hope to see some of you there. Ride Safe - Rachel – Lincolnshire Rep

Mablethorpe Beach Racing 18th Feb I was asked to help out as pit crew for our neighbour, Will Hurford, on his first ever entry in to the Mablethorpe Beach Racing. Will is an experienced motocross rider but had never competed in beach racing before. I thought he should fly the flag for Lost Riders, on his Yamaha, with a pendant attached to the rear. This must have been a good omen as that was the view that the other riders enjoyed. He competed in five, closely fought rounds, and won all five, shocking some of the regular local riders…. Not bad for a beach rooky. That run of wins already puts him above

Guy Martin in the league table. If he decides to enter again, maybe we can support him and take a ride over to cheer him on. Steve T.
