FREE STATE CHEETAHS (PTY) LTD MESSAGECHEETAHS
It is indeed for me as chairman of Toyota Free State Cheetahs a great privilege to welcome each and every one at this evening’s Guinness PRO 14 match between the Toyota Cheetahs and Munster.
We welcome our opponents, Munster and their supporters travelling along from Ireland to Toyota Stadium. The encounter promises to raise all levels of excitement.
We wish the Toyota Cheetahs team and coaching staff well for today’s encounter. We are proud of the team’s performance and I wish Rory and his team with the encounter today.
I would like to extend a warm word of welcome to the CEO and the President of SARU, Mr Jurie Roux and Mr. Mark Alexander and Guinness PRO14 CEO, Mr Martin Anayi as well as the Tournament Director, Mr David Jordan and Guinness PRO14 Commercial and Marketing Manager, Mr. Dermont Rigley. Free State Rugby is honoured to have ex-Cheetahs- and ex Munster coach, Rassie Erasmus – the new Springbok Coach in attendance tonight.
To all our supporters and friends – may you enjoy this match and entertainment in Toyota Stadium. Your support is truly appreciated. Thank you to each and every suite holder, season ticket holder and supporter who believes in the Toyota Cheetahs and are looking forward to the game with anticipation.

There is barely time to draw breath from another thrilling Guinness PRO14 round before we enter into another high-stakes weekend.
We have the most compelling club rugby competition in the world and Round 19 showed that with some edge-of-the-seat action. There were the amazing comebacks from Cardi Blues and Dragons before last minute scores from Toyota Cheetahs and Benetton saw them win by just two points in 50-plus thrillers. Congratulations to Glasgow Warriors, Leinster and Munster who have now qualified for the Guinness PRO14 Final Series and there are still six other teams across both Conferences still in the mix for a top-three finish. Add to that Ospreys and Connacht, who can still reach a Champions Cup Play-O, and you have 11 teams with something to play for this weekend.
Ulster ended their poor run with their first win on the road in 2018 with a bonus point win over Edinburgh to give themselves a chance of a Final Series place and this Friday’s visit to the Kingspan Stadium by Ospreys should be a cracker.
Munster continue their South African leg against their fellow Conference A high-fliers the Toyota Cheetahs while third meets second in Conference B at BT Murrayfield as Edinburgh and Scarlets push Leinster hard at the top.Guinness PRO14 Final Series – How it Stands

Welcome to today’s Guinness Pro 14 match here at Toyota Stadium.
It is amazing how rugby has changed over the past 12 months. This time last year the Toyota Cheetahs were in the Vodacom Super Rugby tournament and now they face new, exciting and sometimes unknown opposition in the Pro14 tourna-ment.
A year is a long time in rugby it seems.Still, there are things that haven’t changed, things that have improved and things that will improve even more.
Not only are the Toyota Cheetahs doing ground-breaking work by competing against the best of the Northern Hemi-sphere, they are charting a new way forward and creating a breeding ground of players who understand the conditions, and what it takes to succeed in this new environment.
This has always been the Toyota Cheetahs way, to play an attractive brand of rugby and to develop top class players that South Africa can be proud of. Toyota has always been the catalyst for success in supporting the players in the team and our partnership is stronger than ever, ensuring the Toyota Cheetahs can enter this bold new world with both confidence and strength.
To Franco Smith and his team, we stand with you as you enter this new battle-ground, this new challenge that will both
test us and show the world what we are made of. We applaud the fighting spirit that you have and the opportunity to show new markets and new regions what Toyota Cheetahs rugby means to all of us.We will be beside you as you embark on this new challenge, and will continue to show the support we have provided over the past few years as not only a sponsor, but as a proud partner of Toyota Chee-tahs.
To the opposition – welcome to Toyota Stadium. The battles will be tough and uncompromising, but we are sure you will experience some of our world-famous Free State hospitality during your stay.
Enjoy the match
