When the red shirt of a Ranken Jordan Volunteer is on the scene, everybody knows the ‘love’ component of our Blanket of Care is covered because Ranken Jordan Partners in Care have a magical connection with our patients that nobody else can duplicate. Ranken Jordan is the country’s first pediatric bridge hospital. Kids with complex medical conditions come to our one-of-a-kind facility to get better and prepare for the transition to their new life at home and school. As a Partner in Care, you will play a critical role in the many miracles that happen at Ranken Jordan every day! Our founder, Mary Ranken Jordan, inspired her staff to “Consider the children first in all that you do.” Her intuitive philosophy has evolved into a practice we call “Care Beyond the Bedside” which means our kids are rarely in their room or in their bed! Instead, they are focused on being kids who just happen to be patients. Care Beyond the Bedside also means we’re training and preparing parents and caregivers for a new normal to ensure the kids stay on a healthy path to living to their fullest potential. If you can see yourself volunteering at one of the most innovative medical facilities in the country, a place where miracles happen on a daily basis, we’d love to speak with you! Ranken Jordan may be the perfect place to turn your passion into action and make a positive impact on hundreds of lives every year. Our bridge hospital is a place where you will feel fulfilled and appreciated and a place that is convenient for you to share your life experiences while you make new memories.
