Little Colonel Players Presents:Women Playing Hamlet

Hamlet’s a challenge for any actor, but when Jessica is cast as Hamlet in a New

York production, it sends her into an existential tailspin. It doesn’t help that

her acting coach is borderline abusive, or that every Starbucks barista with an MFA tells her she’s too young for the role, or that she’s somehow managed to make Sir Patrick Stewart her nemesis. Not to

mention the fact that she’s a woman. How can Jessica figure out “to be or not to be,”

when she can’t even figure out herself? Women Playing Hamlet is rip-roaring fun

for Shakespeare fans and haters alike.Rating: Suitable for all Audiences

Show Dates: Mar. 27, 28, Apr. 2, 3, 4 at 7:30 and Mar. 29, Apr. 5 at 2:00

NEWS & NOTES Did you know?Saint Patrick didn’t wear green. His color

was “Saint Patrick’s blue.” The color green became associated with St. Patrick’s Day

after it was linked to the Irish independence movement in the late 18th century.

Despite his Irish notoriety, Saint Patrick was British. He was born to Roman parents in

Scotland or Wales in the late fourth century.
