News you can use A safety reminder – when exiting The Highlands, there is a stop sign at the corner of Brittany. For many years, it was just us and there was no sign. Now we have neighbors, another street, more cars, people and pets walking in the street. Please be aware of these added hazards and stop at the stop sign before proceeding. Soon Brittany will go all the way through to Grange and then it will be even more critical to stop before proceeding. Here’s another reminder – when your dogs are outside the house, they need to be on a leash. Also, please clean up after they have done their business. Nobody wants to step in dog doo-doo. And one “final” reminder – the dumpster behind the clubhouse is for yard clippings and trash only from the clubhouse and guest RVs. Please do not put your own trash or boxes in the dumpster. It takes up the room that your neighbors need for their yard clippings. In that line, if you DO have cardboard (3-ply), tin/aluminum cans and/or newspapers, put them at the curb Sunday night. Winston Sanitary Services sends a pickup truck very early Monday morning to pick those items up at no additional cost. Just make sure the cardboard is flattened. The pool chemical dispensing upgrades are nearly done. Once that’s complete, we’ll need to get the inspector to give it the thumbs up so we can re-open the pool and spa for public use. We’ll send out an email when it’s ready and no we don’t have an ETA on this but we’re trying to get it done as soon as possible. We’re going to try posting a “For Sale” section in the Newsletter starting next month. So, if you want to advertise something you want to sell, email me a description and a photo We’ll see how it goes. A safety reminder – when exiting The Highlands, there is a stop sign at the corner of Brittany.
