QUILT SHOW BOUTIQUE
November 1 and 2, 2019 is rapidly approaching and with everyone’s busy plans, it
will be here before you know it! We only have 9 months to create, gather, inven-
tory and price all items for the Boutique at the 2019 Quilt Show. Marcia Davis and
the “Sew Much Fun” friendship group did such an amazing job with the Boutique
for the 2017 Quilt Show... from what I understand the best ever. A very high bar
was set. With your help we can not only match but surpass the 1100 items that
were sold and the over $6000 that was made for Havasu Stitchers. We know that
with the help and support all of our talented Havasu Stitchers members and help
from our many friendship groups, we can not only meet but exceed 1100 items
for sale. Our goal is to have 1500 items available for sale...I know it sounds lofty,
but we can do it! Please join us in this drive to make the 2019 Quilt Show Bou-
tique the best ever. If you’d like to join the Boutique committee, let Kim Proulx or
Cathy Geer know. We’d love to have your help. Please bring your quality items to
be donated, to the Havasu Stitchers monthly meeting starting February 7 @ Qual-
ity Inn, 6:30pm. We will be there to collect them. Pick up a prepared kit or use
your own creative talent We can’t wait to see what you come up with. Here are
some suggestions of simple ideas that you can create....pin cushions, pillowcases,
table runners, quilts, wall hangings, baby quilts, baby items, cell phone holders,
purses, tote bags, beach bags, mesh ruler bags, bowl cozies, wine bags, cord
keepers, needle books, or any other idea that you come up with. If you think it
will be a good seller, bring it in. We’ll love it !

Room setup 22 liked the round tables, demos to be conducted one at a time.
Favorite part of the meeting is the demos and least is the business. Cutting the business section shorter.
Social activities, one day field trips were the favored and you loved the Coffee’s at members home. We need volun-teers to coordinate the field trips and members to sign up for Coffees
Classes – you want classes, Cathy said you need to sign up and offer to teach. 17 of you were willing to get involved.
1st VP-Education Report: We still need this position filled.
Secretaries Report: Sherri Ashford and Mary Beth Peters; Nothing to report.
