Ski or snowshoe in GROUPS.

Always tell someone your route,

destination, and expected return time

Carry extra clothing and dress to

prevent hypothermia

Be prepared for sudden changes in

the weather or snow. Conditions

may vary considerably throughout

the day and with elevation.

Take the following essential winter

gear on any excursion: water in an

insulated bottle, high energy snacks,

first aid kit, extra clothing including

a hat and gloves, sunscreen and

sunglasses, map and compass,

flashlight, and a repair kit

For safe wildlife viewing, keep your

distance and never approach. Stay

25 yards from moose, bison, and elk,

and at least 100 yards from bears,

wolves, and mountain lions.

Winter driving

Our roads are frequently covered with ice

or hard-packed snow, and winter storms

create white-out driving conditions. To

conditions warrant

Watch for wildlife on the roadway

Snowstorms can occur at any time;

be prepared for changing weather

conditions

Roads may close at any time for

visitor safety

Always wear your seat belt

We offer scheduled shuttles to and from

the Wort Hotel every day, as well as
