With these sterling additions, BioOne Complete will now include 200 high impact titles from leading nonprofit scientific publishers around the world. The following titles will join BioOne Complete in January 2017: From The International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature: • The Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature From Canadian Science Publishing: • Canadian Journal of Animal Science • Canadian Journal of Plant Science • Canadian Journal of Soil Science From CSIRO Publishing: • Australian Journal of Zoology • Australian Systematic Botany • Crop and Pasture Science • Invertebrate Systematics • Wildlife Research These nine titles represent a wealth of content in agriculture, zoology, plant sciences, and evolutionary biology. Their collective backfile encompasses over 40,000 new pages for BioOne Complete, adding to the aggregation’s existing 1.3 million pages. 79% of BioOne Complete’s subscribed titles have Impact Factors, and 28% are based outside the US. Furthermore, 69% of the current titles are available in full- text XML exclusively through BioOne Complete. Andrew Stammer, Director of CSIRO Publishing, commented: "The team at CSIRO Publishing is very pleased to be working with BioOne. We’ve been connecting scientists with their readers since 1948 and the develop- ment of digital publishing has allowed us to extend our global reach. But there is more we can do. So we’re taking the lead from our authors, who are increasingly collaborating with each other with excit- ing results. We have entered into a col- laboration with BioOne that we expect to take a selection of our relevant science to new readers around the world. BioOne is an obvious choice for us. Their subject focus, especially in systematics, fits our titles. And our not-for-profit status is a good cultural fit with BioOne." Since its founding in 1999, BioOne has evolved and expanded its offerings. As our portfolio of products and services grows, it has become important to distinguish between BioOne’s flagship product, BioOne Complete, and its broader mission and identity as an organization.

Under the creative direction of BioOne’s Graphic Designer and Communications Associate Maeg Keane, the BioOne team has therefore produced a new responsive, organizational website that strengthens the BioOne brand as a modern, mission-driven, and design-forward not-for-profit enterprise.

The new site replaces only the “About” section of the current website. The presentation and location of BioOne Complete journals will not change. The new site features BioOne’s story, list of products and initiatives, financial statements, corporate documents, and staff and board information.

As part of the design process, BioOne incorporated a light brand refresh, including new typography and a simplified color palette. In addition, we added a new logo for BioOne Complete to visually distinguish the product from the organization.

A Fresh Look for BioOne

We believe that the new site supports brand management goals and offers more tangible utility. Powered by WordPress, the site presents such dynamic information,as BioOne's conference calendar and news items. The new design also makes it easier to communicate with the community. We encourage you to look at the new informational site beginning in January. Please let us know what you think.

Continued from 1 { All new titles will make their debut in BioOne Complete on January 3, 2017. Title lists and other librarian resources are available for download on the BioOne Complete website.

Participating in RedLink NetworkBioOne is always looking for new services and collaborations that benefit our participating libraries and facilitate easy access for our users. To this end, we have recently partnered with RedLink Network, a newly formed public benefit company offering a free IP registry service. The Network allows libraries to manage their access information, including IPs, link resolvers, and library branding, and “broadcast” this information to their connected partners (such as BioOne) instead of having to individually in-form hundreds of individual publishers of an IP address change. The system is simple, secure, and free, and ensures that access is not hampered by a faulty IP or broken link resolver.

Usage of the RedLink Network is optional—you can still inform us directly of any changes to access credentials by emailing us at [email protected] or contacting your local sales representative. To learn more or to set up a free account, please visit the RedLink Network. ■

2017 Conference CalendarBioOne management and sales team members attend meetings around the world. If you will be attending any of the following events, we would love to arrange a time to meet with you. We will continuously update our schedule on the new BioOne site. Stay tuned.
