VoLTE Support based on UEs SRVCC Capability1

Feature ChangesWith this release,MME sends "Homogeneous-Support-of-IMS-Voice-Over-PS-Sessi" to HSS only for SRVCCcapable UEs.

Previous Behavior: MME used to allow all subscribed users to make VoLTE call irrespective of whetherSRVCC was supported by the UE or not when network-feature-support-ie ims-voice-over-ps support wasconfigured.

NewBehavior: In this release, onceMME is configured with network-feature-support-ie ims-voice-over-pssupported srvcc-ue only "SRVCC capable" and "SRVCC subscribed" UEs allowed to make VoLTE calls.SRVCC non-capable UEs have to do CSFB to get the voice services. This ensures that the UEs not capableof SRVCC will not experience any call disconnects if they move between 4G and 3G networks.

Command Changes

srvcc-ueUse the following configuration to enable MME to triggerHomogeneous-Support-of-IMS-Voice-Over-PS-Sessions based on identifying SRVCC capability on UEnetwork.

network-feature-support-ie ims-voice-over-pssupported srvcc-ueend

• call-control-profile profile_name: Configures Call Control Profile. profile_name must be a string of 1to 64 characters in length.

• network-feature-support-ie: Configures Network Feature Support IE.

• ims-voice-over-ps supported: IMS Voice Over PS Supported.

• srvcc-ue: Indicates IMS Voice Over PS Supported for SRVCC capable UE only.
