- Hear about new requirements to the program and what to expect- Learn the basics of resume writing- Obtain information on acing an interview- Receive information on various trainings available to Teen Employment participants

Tue, May 13 from 5 to 6 p.m.: In front of Teen Center JOB FAIR

- Meet with managers from all participating programs- Ask questions about available jobs and what to expect if selected- Find locations which positions suit them best Teens attending this event will receive valuable information vital to the selection process.

Teens must turn 15 years old by Mon, May 26 to be eligible for immediate consideration. If any positions remain vacant following the first round of interviews, 14 year olds will be considered for those positions at that time.

Teens:- Will be hired to work at the Auto/Wood Skills Center, Libraries, School Age Care/Summer Camp, Theater, Youth Sports, Bowling, NOR Centers, Aquatics, the Golf Course and various other MWR departments.- Will get paid $7.25 per hour - Will work a maximum of 18 hours/week during school - Will work a maximum of 25 hours/week when school in not in session - Will gain valuable work experience for their future- Must be able to attend every day of training scheduled for June 16-17, 2014.

Wed, May 7: Mother’s Day CrafTMake a special craft for your mother. Decorate a flower pot, make a card, and other options available! Program runs all day at the Fleet Recreation Center (FRC) … make it an after-school activity! Various supplies available on a first come, first served basis. Ceramic flower pots are limited. Reserve today. Cost is $1.50.

Mon, May 12-Fri, May 16:Children’s Book WeekSpecial book displays highlighting children’s literature. In conjunction with Naples Libraries, “A Celebration of Books!” drawing contest for kids, ages 3-13.

Wed, May 14: Special Story Hour at 10:30 a.m.Enjoy an hour of story time at the Fleet Recreation Center with special guest, Military Family Life Consultant (MFLC).

Wed, May 21: “Angry Pasta” Learn to make a simple, but tasty pasta dish at the FRC. Two sessions: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. Cost is $1.50 per person. Sign up by Mon, May 19.

Fri, May 23: Food & Music Tour Enjoy a special night out with a traditional Italian meal & music! Cost is €12 per person (transportation). Bring money for meal. Departs Gaeta Fleet Landing at 7:30 p.m. Sign up by Wed, May 21.

May 24-26: Rainbow Magic Land TicketsGet your discounted tickets for Rainbow Magic Land amusement park, located at Valmontone (on A1 Autostrada towards Rome). This is a large amusement park, great for adults and children!
