Three great Chicagoland culinary creations await today as we enjoy a day of local incredible edibles!

Start with chocolate at the Long Grove Confectionery Candy Factory in Buffalo Grove. The one-hour tour includes a short history of chocolate and a look at the kitchen. See and smell the creation of delicious candies like truffles, meltaways, peanut clusters, and the famous chocolate covered strawberries.

Chicago-style deep dish pizza is the next great love of the day, and nobody makes it better than Lou Malnati’s. You can have their frozen pizzas shipped anywhere,

but we’re going to enjoy it fresh in Schaumburg.

Top off the day at Lynfred Winery in Roselle. Though miles from the vineyards and orchards, Lynfred brings in grapes and fruits to create its award-winning wines. Learn of viniculture and tour the cellars and production area. Taste seven different fruits of the vine and branch. Stained glass windows and oak wood floors adorn the tasting room and sales area of this century old house that is Lynfred Winery.

Chicago’s own chocolate, wine and pizza all in one day — Incredible!!

OFFICIAL TRC GAME TIME Our cribbage board, rummikub cards and classrooms are under-used, so we are re-naming Wednesday afternoons: OFFICIAL TRC GAME TIME.

Our long standing Bingo Game will continue to meet at 1 pm in our main room to accommodate all our players. $1 gets you three cards that last for the afternoon, giving you many chances to yell B-I-N-G-O!

Room B will be home to our small group games such as cribbage or rummikub also beginning at 1 pm.

Room A will be available for gaming ideas you enjoy and would like to share. We have three tables just waiting for you and your friends! Bring Yahtzee or Monopoly and a couple of friends and you’re ready to play!

Sign-up sheets will be available at the Center, so you won’t have the worry of being the only one to show up. We’ll have sheets for each suggested activity as well as one for you to add your game of choice.
