Here we are starting out December with the Ceremonial in La Crosse. With over 30 new nobles this year and a lot of fun behind us we are moving on toward the annual meeting on Janu-ary 14 at the Temple in Madison. Don’t forget the Lunch with Santa on Dec 11 at the Temple also.Before I forget, if you were not at the ceremonial a lot of pictures will be added to our on-line Zephyr follow-ing ceremonial. They were too late for the printed edition but we wanted you to see them so they will be on FaceBook and the Zephyr online. Hopefully you remember how to log in to the Zephyr, but just in case you forgot we will print it for you again elsewhere in this edition.

We have been blessed with fewer Black Camels and a large class of new nobles but there are still many objections out there from our young-er generations about joining the Masons and a supposed or real sense that we talk about Shriners Having Fun but an awful lot of what we do is not regarded as fun. I have been told that a lot of the young crowd do not want to parade. I think a lot of that comes from the busy sched-ules they have with work and school activities involving

nobles ways to participate in non-parading types of activities which involve the whole families. For example our units can be organized for bowling, bicycling, canoe-

It is almost Circus time again in Zorland. The Cir-cus will be in Madison February 17 -19 with six (6) great shows and the elephants will be in town. There also will be a show in La Crosse on Tuesday, February 28. Noble tickets will be arriving at your door by mid-December just in time for stocking

With the coming of 2017 there will be some changes with our ticket program. The price for your six-pack of tickets will be $75.00. This is a savings of $33.00.

Camel Patrol’s Chief Rabban Party to Honor the 2017 Potentate

Zor’s Camel Patrol will hold its annual Chief Rabban Party on Sunday Jan. 15, 2017 at Rex’s Innkeeper in Waunakee. Party Chairman Jim Stelsel said that the traditional party to honor the Chief Rabban, CharlesMiller and his lady Sharon will be held after Zor’s Annual Meeting and Election to honor the Noble who moves up to the post of Potentate on January 13, 2017. It allows the future Potentate an opportunity to give a preview of some of the events he has planned during his year as Potentate. Chairman Stelsel said the social hour will begin at 4:00 P. M. with dinner at 5:00 P. M. As in past years there will be a choice of four entrees-Tenderloin Filet, Prime Rib, Chicken Cordon Bleu and Deep Fried Shrimp.

The cost for each entrée is $25.00 per person and will include baked potato, garden salad, rolls, milk, tea,

coupon and send it with their preference marked and a check made payable to “ Zor Shrine Camel Patrol” for the number of dinners being ordered by December 30th Stelsel said. He also promised door prizes and great fun and sociability

We will eat at 6:00 with the social time starting when you arrive. If you have never visited the Maple Tree you are in for a treat. We
