Dear Children Heartiest congratulations on your extraordinary performance at the Learner Led
Conference! Seeing how you have grown from strength to strength during the year makes my heart dance with joy. I am sure your parents and teachers are equally proud to see you work so earnestly and put in your best effort.
As we move towards the end of the academic year 2021, I want to touch upon something that I would like you to think upon ; How often have you felt that you can't do something or are not good at it or are not as good at it as your friend or sibling? I urge you to rephrase this thought as, “I may not be good at it YET but I can become good at it with practice !” You see thinking/ feeling “ I can't do this is limiting whereas saying.” I can't do it YET gives us the opportunity to work at it and manifest our highest potential. So this year let us move from a Fixed mindset to a Growth mindset! I have full faith in your potential. Take care and see you soon!

May we raise children who love the unloved
things – the dandelion, the worms and spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn
& run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards sun…
And when they’re grown & someone has to speak for those
who have no voice may they draw upon that
wilder bond, those days of tending tender things
and be the ones. -Nicolette Sowder

Grade 6 : Having fun with Limericks !
Students of grade 6 learnt how to write Limericks during the online classes. Limericks are basically short and rhythmic poems consisting of 5 lines with a rhyme scheme of AABBA. They often have a humorous undertone, therefore, the subject matter is often whimsical and funny. Students wrote their own versions of Limericks during the class on a padlet. They had a great time discussing the rhyming words. They had to rhyme the 1st, 2nd and the 5th line. Similarly the 3rd and 4th line would end in rhyming words. They also added a picture which best describes the theme of their poem.
As part of the Science topic ‘Sound’ learners of Grade 8 were asked to research about some of the famous Indian instrumentalists, the instrument that
they play and what is one most inspiring thing about them.
