Pursuant to the powers under the Fisheries (Rock Lobster) Rules 2011 ("the Rules") that were delegated to the Director (Marine Resources) on 19 August 2015 by the Minister acting pursuant to section 20(1) of the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 ("the Act"), I hereby determine that the public notice dated 24 July 2017 and published in Gazette No 21 721 on 26 July 2017 closing part of the rock lobster fishery to certain activities in certain waters, is rescinded on 16 August 2017.

Any expression used in this public notice having a particular meaning under the Act or the Rules has the same meaning in this public notice as it has in the Act or the Rules.

GENERAL PURPORT OR EFFECT OF THE ABOVEMENTIONED STATUTORY RULES

(1) Proclamation under section 2 of the Firearms (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 2015

This proclamation fixes 4 December 2017 as the day on which sections 35, 36, 44 and 65 of the Firearms (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 2015 commence.

(2) Firearms Amendment Regulations 2017

These regulations amend the Firearms Regulations 2016 by prescribing storage requirements for firearms, firearm parts and ammunition.

(3) Proclamation under section 2 of the Gaming Control Amendment (Community Interest) Act 2016

This proclamation fixes 1 September 2017 as the day on which Part 3 of the Gaming Control Amendment (Community Interest) Act 2016 commences.

(4) Gaming Control Amendment Regulations 2017

These regulations prescribe matters for the purposes of the definition of community interest matters in section 35A of the Gaming Control Act 1993

(5) Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment (Registration Labels) Regulations 2017

These regulations amend the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2010 by removing the requirement for registration labels to be issued or displayed in respect of heavy vehicles.
