About 30 years ago I attended a fitness class with a friend as a favor to her. It turned out she did me a favor – the next thing I knew, I was in training to become a fitness instructor.

I have a passion for helping others discover the reward of a healthy heart, toned muscles, improved balance and increased flexibility. Working out also helps dissipate stress, clears the mind for better focus and induces positive energy for the spirit. The benefit is so worth the time and effort it takes to complete the task.

Please do yourself a favor and commit to finding your fitness work-out of choice – is it biking, walking, running, swimming, strength training, Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, or using the gym equipment? Here’s a great idea - go for the ultimate line-up and diversify to include them all!

Anthony Ruffa, DO, has joined our growing team of family medicine specialists. A graduate of Ohio University College of Medicine, Dr. Ruffa completed his Family Medicine residency at Saint Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Incorporating holistic medicine into his practice, you’ll find Dr. Ruffa cares about all aspects of his patients’ lives. Dr. Ruffa is currently welcoming new patients of all ages.

Sang Won Dacri-Kim, DO, is our newest Vascular Surgeon. He received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, an affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was the Chief Surgical Resident. He completed fellowships in Vascular Surgery at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center, and Peripheral Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Techniques at Arizona Heart Institute and Foundation. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.

Gastroenterologist, Lee Laney, MD, has also joined our team. He received his medical degree from Meharry Medical School, Nashville, TN and completed his residency at Michigan State University, Hurley Medical Center. He completed fellowships in Gastroenterology at University of Kansas and Wayne State University. Dr. Laney will practice in the same office as Dr. Ashok Kondru.

Loreen Ibala, Family Nurse Practitioner, will be working alongside Dr. Suk Choi and Dr. John Lee. With a focus on education of disease management and prevention, Loreen brings a wealth of experience to ACMC. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Nursing from State University of New York in Brooklyn, NY. Loreen previously worked in a Level 1 trauma Emergency Room as a nurse and an Internal Medicine office as a Nurse Practitioner coordinating recommended screenings and managing a broad spectrum of diseases.
