Dear Pro-life friends and families, Greetings & Very blessed New Year-2013!! We experienced God’s direct presence and guidance throughout the year of 2012. God permitted us to do many things awesome. VOF reached from Eastern region to Far-western region of Nepal and even to India taking the Pro-life teachings. In every needs and wants we found God’s direct help and miraculous provision. With few resources God helped us to accomplish lots of work. He remained faithful to us and assisted us to be faithful towards Him. So, we thank Him from the depth of our heart for His faithfulness. And we also would like to express our heartfelt thanks to you all who prayed and supported us. Again, we plead for your regular prayer and support for this year also. Raising voice for the voiceless

Blessed Christmas with five single mothers and Babies.

On Friday, 21st Dec. 2012 VOF and its Board of Director gathered together with five special single moms and their cute babies in an auspicious occasion of the Christmas-2012. The main objective of the program was to appreciate the five single moms who dared to choose life and to give parenting to their babies even in the midst of many dilemmas in their life. We had very wonderful and blessed moment of having fellow-ship with them. We had an opportunity to spend lots of time talking and

making fun with them. It was an awesome experience of having their babies in our arms and bosoms. At, last we had a formal program of appreciation. We welcomed the five single moms with their babies in front of all. Then, Elisha Soman Rai shared from the life of Mary pointing the Biblical reference, “Blessed are you among women…”and encouraged them with inspiring words. VOF presented the gifts of warm winter coat to moms and baby set to the babies. We watched some video clips also related with single moms. Finally, we all prayed for them and had lunch together. Thank you so much for your prayer and supports.

On 14th Dec. 2012 VOF was invited by Women Leadership Training Department of NCFN for conducting a class about Pro-life Education. Soman Elisha Rai gave 3 hours class by presenting Pro-life DVD, other additional clips and information. There were 8 women leaders from the different parts of Nepal and there were blessed with life bags also.

On 30th Dec.2012 VOF Nepal conducted a huge Youth Camp on the issue of Pathway to Sexual Purity. The objective of the camp was to address one of the factors of rapidly growing of teenage pregnancy and abortion in Nepal i.e. sexual misuse and misbehavior. According to the survey done by Nepal Adolescence and Youth (NAY) in 2010\11, the 24% of youth from the age group of 15 to 24 go through the experience of pre-marital sexual relation. And teenage pregnancy and abortion have become a serious problem in Nepal. Repeating using of emergency contraception pills and medical abortion has seemed as a means of birth control among the youth of Kathmandu. As VOF indentified the problem among youth so, decided to conduct the youth camp on the issue of sexual purity or abstinence. There were more than 300 youth gathered in the camp from the different churches in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. ‘Purity is possible’ was the main slogan of the camp. The camp was started with an opening prayer by Mrs. Eli Mukhiya one of the members of VOF and spirit filled worship by Ps. Haron and Silash Shahi. In the first session of camp, Soman Elisha Rai the Executive Director presented an introductory class about the Pathway to Sexual Purity. After that, Rajendra Paudel the Joint Secretary of VOF supported the main topic with the teaching about ‘Purity under Pressure’. Likewise, in second session, Miss Maya Shrestha and Mrs. Bethseba emphasized on the advantages of Sexual Purity and Biblical perspective on friendship, love, dating and sex. All those presentations were excited and interactive. Besides the presentations we had an opportunity to enjoy the encouraging songs from different Christian singers also. And, at the end of the camp, all the participants were led into seri-ous and special moment of internal healing or recovery. The participants were assured and encouraged for their new beginning in Christ and prayed for their forgiveness and healing through Jesus. Likewise, they all were blessed with the free distribution of the book & brochure called ‘Pathway to Sexual Purity’ prepared by Gabriel International (GI) and farewell them with New Year wishes.
