Sound Engineer
Noun A person in charge of all of the sound
dynamics, including sound systems, speakers, and acoustic materials.
The sound engineer will make sure the microphones, speakers,
and sound system are set up and working correctly, prior to the concert.
Chalet
Noun A kind of low cottage or farmhouse with
wide eaves The herdsman lived in a chalet in the
Swiss Alps.
Neo-antebello
Adjective A new version of old objects and
institutions, that originated before the Civil War.
The clothing line was described as neo-antebello, because they look like dresses worn before the war.
Wisteria
Noun A climbing shrub, having showy, pendent
clusters of blue-violet, white, purple, or rose flowers.
The wisteria flowers hung from the trees, likegrapes from a vine.
impertinent
Adjective Bold, rude or arrogant (a person or their
actions); out of place It is an impertinent gesture to interrupt a conversation that is none of your business.
