2 HYDRAULICS

2.1 SELECTIVE CONTROL VALVES - SCV

The selective control valves provide a full range offeatures to meet customers’ exact requirements.The 105 SCV has three positions.The 205 and 305 SCV’s have a four position double orsingle acting function in the cab using lever.The lockout device allows the lever to be locked intoraise, lower or neutral position.ISO couplers are mounted to each SCV.

105 Series SCVThis valve features:

• A 3 position lever control.• Flow of up to 60 l/min is available through

the valve.• A load check valve on the raise/extend port

prevents loader and implement linkage creep.

305 Series SCVIn addition to all of the features of 205 series SCV’sthe 305 offers:

• Selectable detents allow the switching between“No detent”, ideal for loader operation, and“Mechanical detent”, for continuous hydraulicmotor operation.

• The control dial is located on the SCV and may bereached from the operator’s seat.

• Neutral start protection releases lever to neutralwhen the engine is switched off.

• A hydraulic detent, where the SCV lever willremain selected until a pre-set pressure is reached.

Dust protection for quick couplersThe dust protection kit for quick couplers has to beordered depending on the number of SCV’s mountedto the tractor - one is needed for each SCV. The kitincludes the dust protection cover, tubes, connectionsand seals to equip for one SCV.Furthermore a SCV oil spillage reservoir is neededbecause when connecting or disconnecting quickcouplers, especially under pressure, there always leaksa small amount of oil from the system. The Beacon Light is easy to mount.

Performance Monitor

A performance monitor is available for all 5020 seriestractors with PowrQuad Plus transmission.It can be installed on the upper right “A” post in thecab and is connected directly to the tractor’s electricalsystem via the on-board CAN-BUS communicationlink. This dedicated system allows the monitor to beintegrated with other tractor systems.The unit features:

• Accurate "distance travelled" measurement * • Display of true forward speed **• Programmable implement width function allows

accurate measurement of area covered * • Measurement and display of wheel-slip %, both

numerically and graphically, combined with visualand audible slip alarm. **

• This helps to boost productivity and reduce tyrewear *

• Work-rate calculation in area/unit time - a usefulmanagement tool to optimise work-rates.

• "Implement-up" and "Implement-down" modelinked to the quick raise/lower switch so that theheadland travel distance is not counted whenaccurate area measurement is required.

• Display of precise rear and front PTO speeds foraccurate monitoring of implement performance.

• Programmable service indicator allowing theoperator to select the number of engine hours tothe next service.

• An audible and visual signal indicates when this time has elapsed.

• This allows optimum service intervals forpeak tractor performance.

• Variable illumination intensity ensuring that theoperator can read the monitor easily, even at night.

Activated Carbon Air Filter

Cab air filters with activated carbon media are nowavailable for 5020 Series tractors. The filter kitincludes two activated carbon air filters and twoactivated carbon recirculation air filters, installationinstruction and safety information.These filters are a combination of dust and odour filterin one providing high efficiency and performancewithout air flow restriction in the cab.This results in:

• less irritation of eyes, nose and throat,

• higher driving comfort,• a cleaner cab and• improves the operator’s working environment

The high-performance three-coat media filters 3micron particles with more than 99 % efficiency.Especially for plant protection and fertilizeroperations, powerful cab air filters are needed. Theamount of smallest dust particles and gaseoussubstances is reduced within the cab.

Tool Box

An external detachable and lockable tool box withconvenient carrying handle is mounted to the maintractor frame on the right hand side.It has the capacity to hold tools and a selection oflinkage balls, hitch pins and linchpins for implementattachment.

Additional Storage Container - 45l

With a capacity of 45 l and a 45 kg maximum payloadthis new sheet metal storage container offers additionalspace, e.g. for rubber boots, oil cans, bulky tools,grease guns etc.Equipped with 2 handles at the side it can easily becarried. With the help of the included quick lock pinthe container can be closed rapidly.The fastening on the back allows a quick installation toall existing front weights: base weights, front weightsand the 900 kg pick up weight.

Front Hitch KitIncrease the versatility and adaptability of a 5020Series tractor. The front hitch ensures the followingJohn Deere standards in terms of quality andreliability:

without dismounting of the lower links• Compatibility with John Deere loaders• Operates with a rear-installed 205 series SCV

instead of an optional joystick

Support for mower chains and springsFront implements like mowers often require additionalfixing points at the tractor to guide and supportimplements with the help of chains or springs.For this application John Deere offers a newpossibility to fix chains fast and conveniently. Tworacks fit perfectly to the John Deere front hitch and thepositioning of the racks provides an optimized anglefor linkage chains and springs in comparison to thefastening chains fixed to the center link base.

Supplementary kit, accumulator and third front quick coupler as well as two brackets for mowing unit suspension

The third front quick coupler serves to provide pressure oil as long as the front hitch is raised. The accumulator provides dampening for more comfort during shunting or when driving with raised front attachment. The brackets for mowing unit suspension also allow attachment of the chain for cutting height limit.
