2005 Project Protect (Grant)

• Description. Assessment of local school districts’ ability and capability to handle violent incidents on school grounds. Special attention was also devoted to help school districts develop an action plan for such incidents.

2003 Border Policing/Intelligence Gathering (Grant)

• Description. To develop an integrated training and information-sharing network to improve

counterintelligence initiatives in Texas, as well as develop a geographic information system (GIS) and a relational database that will test the viability of improving investigation and detection efforts in selected areas along the Texas border with Mexico.

2003 Office of Law Enforcement Training (Contract)

• Description. To develop training curriculum for the Turkish National Police in order to enhance their understanding of policing in the United States. Special emphasis was given to topics such as Community Policing, Problem-Oriented Policing, organizational theory, and ethics.

2002 Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and

Education (Grant) • Description. To aide the Commission in providing

legislatively mandated courses for law enforcement officers in the state of Texas. Specifically, the project aimed to enhance the Commission’s effectiveness in delivering distance education and training materials to officers and training centers around the state.

2001 Texas Narcotics Control Program (Grant)

• Description. To provide an analysis of multi-jurisdictional and multi-county narcotic task forces in the state of Texas with emphasis on examining task force organizational structure, partnerships, funding, resource management as well as the cost/benefit of continued governmental funding for task forces.
