Enhanced Path Analysis In order to understand and analyze a Control-‐M job net correctly, it is cri9cal that the various paths can be iden9fied quickly and accurately. The path search op9on of VISUALjob for Control-‐M can iden9fy and display the Control-‐M paths from and between a start and/or end job. Combining the path search with the forecast func9on or the knowl-‐ edge about how jobs have executed in the past makes the enhanced path analysis a unique and very powerful assistant.

Integrated Forecas)ng
Errors can lead to disrup9ons and delays in produc9on. In order to visualise the schedule or discover possible
planning mistakes while designing the job net, VISUALjob provides robust forecas9ng func9ons.
VISUALjob can forecast at any level, from the individual job or the en9re schedule. The forecast can be
performed for a specific day or a range of dates. The output can be a flowchart, GanV chart or spreadsheet.
!Sta)s)cal Repor)ng Free form reports can easily be generatedu9lizing sta9s9cs from past Control-‐M batch execu9ons collected in the VISUALjob sta9s9caldatabase. Robust filtering criteria can be used to narrow the focus of reports based upon criteria such as dates, 9mes, job, node id, job status, comple9on status, day of week, and more. No programming or SQL knowledge is required. Reports can be saved, reused and generated in an automated way, saving a lot of 9me and effort in producing this intelligence.

Workload Analysis
VISUALjob for Control-‐M enables the user, based on the known job net defini9ons and the run9meinforma9on collected in the VISUALjob sta9s9cal database, to visualize past Control-‐M job execu9onsin a GanV diagram called GanVView. This provides an excellent graphical overview about what has happened in the past and is an essen9al key for root-‐cause analysis.
!Workload Simula)on and Cri)cal Path Simula)on Predic9ng future job runs based on realis9c sta9s9cal informa9on and past experience is a constant challenge. VISUALjob provides comprehensive workload simula9on func9ons with graphical support through the GanVView to perform effec9ve resource u9liza9on and proac9ve analysis. With predic9ve analy9cs, professional guessing is now replaced by an accurate processensuring that future service level agreements (SLAs) will be met.

A Service describes a Control-‐M driven business process which can be defined and uniquely named by a VISUALjob administrator within VISUALjob. The VISUALjob users can call these Services and perform auto-‐mated root-‐cause analyses (Workload Analysis) and Workload Simula9ons with only two clicks.
