Although someof the desired seed specimens could not beexamined or described, it is offered that the conclusions ofthis study are still credible and helpful in the visual charac-terization and identification of C.sativa seeds. Although theDorstenia contrajerva and Mortis nigra species within theMoraceae family were notexamined, theBroussonetia papyr-ifera andFicuscaricaspecies within this family were examined.AlthoughtheParietariaofficinalis andPileapubescens specieswithin the Urticaceae family were not examined, the Urticadioica, Urtica urens, andBoehmeria nivea species within thisfamilywere examined. Althoughtheseedsof anumberofplantswithin the Boraginaceae family were not available for inspec-tion, the seeds ofLithospermum officinalis within this familywere examined. In a similar fashion, although anumberof theseeds of plants within the Loasaceae family were not available, the seeds of Cajophora lateritiaandPetalonyx thurberiwithinthis family were examined. And although the seeds of Lippiacitridorawithinthefamily Verbenaceae werenotexamined, theseeds ofLantana camara inthis family were examined.
