6 HCR NEWS 2014 Visitors Questionnaire Results (3,255 Respondents) 1. I want a wheelchair that can ride the road’s uneven and steps because I experienced difficulties during the disaster. 2. I want to know more details about products through display as well as demonstration. It was still difficult to know the differences among similar equipment. 3. I expect to develop new products which reduce burdens of care givers such as the transfer aids, bathing aids, and diapers as well. 4. I want to see more equipment from overseas. 5. I was surprised at the advancement of the development in total. 6. I want to know more variety of nursing-care robots and its trend, as well as the latest information of them. 7. I am happy because I could find the product which satisfied me both in function and in design. 8. Please introduce wider range of care products that are not listed under coverage. 9. I found a big progress in the products that reflected user’s opinion. 10. I expect to have more exhibits and information of the oral care of elderlies and the monitoring system for independent life of elderlies. 11. The artificial limbs and orthopedic products, hearing aids, rehabilitation products, and self-reliance products were still not enough. 12. I expect more products related to bedclothes and against bed-sore. 13. The panel displays regarding house reform were interesting and which made me think more about the barrier-free house. 14. I want welfare equipment for left handed persons. 15. The welfare equipment for homecare should be more compact, less expensive, and designed for home use. 16. We need more communication equipment. It seems very modern to use the mobile phone for the communication of the person with four limbs paralysis, however, to master how to use is very difficult. 17. The place for the test driving was good for knowing and comparing the products. 18. More products for disabled children should be exhibited. 19. This year, I felt fewer exhibitors introduced the “eating related welfare equipment” for elderlies and disabled persons. 20. I hope the manufactures develop new products much further from the viewpoint of users. 5 Visitor’s Comments on Home Care and Rehabilitation Equipment 1. I’m happy to see the products that I could know only through the internet. 2. At the H.C.R., I can try out new products by myself and it helps me to compare and choose one. 3. H.C.R. offered me not only exhibits but the seminars where I could learn actual knowledge such as the usage of diapers for the elderly or the cooking for senior persons. 4. I look forward to coming to the H.C.R. every year. Today, I’m happy because I could find what I have been looking for. 5. I could gain new ideas about the products that help our nursing care as well as our daily life. H.C.R. is a place to know the latest products and services for our life. 6. It’s an excellent opportunity for manufacturers, distributers, users and care givers to gather and to exchange information globally. 7. Compared to the last year, I found many products such as a wheelchair became improved in usage and in portability. 8. I saw equipment that I haven’t seen before and I would like to use them. 9. Each time, I find new products so I want to come next year again. 10. The booths’ decoration or the presentations of the companies are getting more interesting year by year, and I think all the efforts improve the image of the welfare equipment. 11. Many information I got here helped me to choose the most suitable equipment for me. 12. There were many interesting seminars that told us about the welfare today. 13. I would like to be a physical therapist so the H.C.R. is very informative. The difference between the H.C.R. and the other exhibitions is the type of visitors. There were many disabled persons in the H.C.R. 14. I can see and experience many and variety of products at the H.C.R. I also can hear the explanation of the products. 15. A small scale company produced excellent equipment, and that was amazing. 16. So many welfare equipment manufacturers gather here from all over Japan and we can see the improvement of the products. 17. I hope more people know about disabilities through mass medias covering the H.C.R. exhibition. 18. My wife was happy for renting and test driving an electric wheelchair for two hours during the exhibition. 19. I expect further development of welfare equipment. 20.
