 This guide should provide all the necessary information you may need during

Admission will not be charged for UNH field hockey games.

Locker Room Facilities:When available, locker rooms will be reserved in the Whittemore Center Arena, which is located adjacent to Memorial Field. We will make every attempt to accommodate

your team in the Whittemore Center Arena. As an alternative, the Field House may be used for locker room facilities. The Field House is located across the street from Memorial Field. Please notify us if you would like shower towels after your game.

Memorial Field:Memorial Field is the home of UNH field hockey and lacrosse. Memorial Field was completed in the summer of 2002, and was renovated into an Astroturf facility with full light capability.

Parking:Team Parking:Your bus should be directed to drop off at the traffic circle located between Memorial Field and the UNH Dairy Bar on Depot Road. The bus should then proceed to park in the Durham Town Lot. Additional bus parking is available in A-Lot. Overflow bus parking is located at Mast Road Lot 2.

Visitor Parking:Parking for visiting fans is available in A-Lot, which is located next to Memorial Field. Parking is free on weekdays after 6 PM and all-day on the weekend. Visitors may purchase a visitor’s parking pass for any other time or park in a metered space for $1 per hour.

Visiting Team Bench:The visiting team bench is located on the west side of Memorial Field, closest to the Dairy Bar.

The primary athletic training room is located at the east end of the lower level of the Field House. The athletic training room will open two hours prior to the competition, and will close approximately one hour after the competition. Please contact Hannah Berg at (603) 862-3892 prior to your visit to arrange specific accommodations. Items that will be supplied include: ice, water, cups and biohazard material. Media Relations:All members of the media should notify UNH Media Relations Contact, Douglas Poole at (603) 862-2585, prior to the competition. Photographers are asked to check-in at the press area for complete information on photo zones. Statistics will be provided to each team following the conclusion of the event.

Video:The video platform is available at midfield on the same side as the team benches. Teams may contact Assistant Coach Ross Gorham with video related questions.

Directions from University of New Hampshire Campus (Memorial Field):Turn left from Depot Road and head Southeast on Main Street. Continue on Main Street for one mile until it becomes NH-108. Follow NH-108 for five miles into downtown Dover. Turn right at Central Ave/Washington St. Take immediate left at the Main St/Central Ave stop light and follow for one mile. Wentworth-Douglas Hospital will be on the right.

Directions from University of New Hampshire Campus (Memorial Field):Turn left from Depot Road and head Southeast on Main Street. Continue on Main Street for one mile. Turn right and merge onto US-4 East towards Portsmouth. Merge onto NH-16/Spaulding Turnpike East towards Portsmouth and proceed for five miles. At the traffic circle, take the second exit to continue onto US-1 South. Turn right at Borthwick Avenue and continue for one mile. Portsmouth Regional Hospital will be on the right.

AED Locations:AEDs are located in the athletic training rooms in both the Field House and the Whittemore Center. An AED will also be available on the UNH bench during games.

INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION

INCLEMENT WEATHER PROTOCOL:In the event of a tornado, lightning or other serious weather emergency, those in attendance will be directed to proceed in an orderly manner to shelter or safety. Game management personnel will make sure that everyone has been directed to a building or safe area. The NCAA lightning policy will be followed at all outdoor events at The University of New Hampshire.

PRIOR TO THE EVENT:Event weather forecasts will be monitored throughout the day by the Game Manager and Athletic Trainer via the internet.

DURING THE EVENT:The Athletic Trainer will continue to monitor the weather by using the flash-to-bang method in addition to other readily available resources.

ONCE SEVERE WEATHER IS DETECTED:Once it has been determined that lightning is within 30 miles of the event, the Game Manager will notify the game officials, both head coaches and any on-site administrators regarding the potential stoppage of play.

WHEN LIGHTNING IS DETECTED WITHIN SIX (6) MILES OF THE GAME FIELD:The Game Manager will notify the game officials, both head coaches and any on site administrators from both teams at the next stoppage of play that lightning is within six (6) miles of the playing field and we are required to halt the game due to weather. When lightning is detected within six (6) miles of the playing field, the public address announcer will make an announcement informing those in attendance that inclement weather, including lightning, is within six (6) miles.

EVACUATION LOCATIONS:The Dairy Bar and the Whittemore Center lobby will be used as shelters from severe thunderstorms and lightning. Teams, officials and spectators will be directed to the basement of the Whittemore Center in the event of a tornado, hurricane or other severe weather.

RESUMING PLAY:Teams and officials will be notified once 30 minutes has elapsed since the last flash of lightning or sound of thunder and it is safe to return to the venue. The Game Manager will meet with the game officials and both coaches to determine the protocol for restarting the game.

Follow I-95 North to Exit 4 for N.H. (N.H. Lakes and Mountains/Spaulding Turnpike). Continue north to Exit 6W and follow Route 4 west. Exit at Route 155A and turn left onto Main Street towards Durham and proceed for approximately one mile. Turn left onto Depot Road at the Whittemore Center.

From Points North:

Follow I-95 South to Exit 5 (in N.H.) to the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16N). Continue north to Exit 6W and follow Route 4 west. Exit at Route 155A and turn left onto Main Street towards Durham and proceed for approximately one mile. Turn left onto Depot Road at the Whittemore Center.

From Points West:

Follow Route 101 East to Exit 7 (Epping, NH) and proceed north on Route 125. Follow Route 125N to the Lee Traffic Circle and take the first exit onto Route 4 east. Continue on Route 4E for approximately 2.5 miles. Exit at Route 155A and turn right onto Main Street towards Durham and proceed for approximately one mile. Turn left onto Depot Road at the Whittemore Center.
