Virtual Nigeria Visa Application Guideline

Step 1: Open the Nigeria Immigration Service Portal

Type or copy to your web browser -http://portal.immigration.gov.ng/- or press here to enter into

the Nigeria Immigration Service Portal

Step 2: Select the type of Visa Application

Important Notice: You are encouraged to read the Visa Application Guidelines before continuing your

application.

Select the type of Visa Application (in this example - Entry Visa Application Form – )

Click on “Entry Visa Application Form”

A new page “Apply For New Entry Visa/Freezone” will open

2. Select your Application Request from the list above

Step 3: Select the name of the country were you wish to process your application

Important Notice: the processing country for applicants to the Nigeria Missions in Germany is

“GERMANY”

Click on roll down icon by “Processing Country” Click to select type of passport

1. Select country from the list – in this case Germany if you are applying to the Nigeria Missions

in Germany

2. Click on Start Application below

Step 4: Log in to Application Centre

Select your mail provider (for this test Google mail is used)

Important Notice: to start the application you are requested to log in using Google mail or Yahoo mail or Open ID here. Facebook is not activated at the moment. If you have an account with any of the above listed mail providers, you can log in directly. If not, you will be directed on how to create one on the sign in pop-up of the mail providers.

Step 5: Sign in pop-up

Type your Google E-mail address if you are using Google for your login

Type your password

Click on “Sign in”

Important Notice: If you are not having an

E-mail account with the 3 E-mail providers.

Click “Create an account” in the sign in pop-up of any of the 3

Step 6: Log in

Important Notice: You may receive an empty pop-up as

shown or a code pop-up.

On Yahoo the pop-up is with code. Kindly type in the code

and confirm, if there is an error message ignore this and

close the pop-up.

Click again on the Yahoo icon. If you are requested to give

your E-mail data again, this means the code was not

correctly typed, otherwise the “User Details” page will

open.

The Google page is either empty as shown or an error

message will be displayed. If there is an error message,

ignore this and close the pop-up.

Click again on the Google icon, the pop-up below will show

Step 9: Standard Entry Visa/Free

Application Id and Reference Number

that you can use to re-enter to your

application details for correction

before payments

Important Notice: Please remember

to check your details carefully once

more.

Click print & Continue below your

printer menu will open, kindly follow

your printer instructions and print the

completed Application Form.

Important Notice: Kindly keep the

printed documents handy. You will

need them to complete the process

at the Nigeria Missions.

After completing the printing process,

close the printing page, you will return

to the Standard Entry Visa/Free Zone

Application Form screen.

Roll to the bottom of the page and

been filled in and the process is

complete.

You will be requested to check-out.

This process will take you to the

payment page.

Step 10: Payment procedure

The invoice for your application will

show on this page. You have 2

options:

1. Start Another Application

2. Proceed to payment

If you want to complete another

application in addition to the one you

have already completed, Click Start

If you want to make payment

Click Proceed to Payment

Step 11: Payment procedure Payment Details

Enter your details as requested on this page.

Your payment procedure for the visa is like every other online payment.

If your payment is not going through, kindly call your bank to authorize the visa fee payment. (Some banks have strict

security procedures that sometimes make the payment process difficult.)
