BAUDER VIP VACUUM INSULATION PANEL

The exceptional insulating properties (calculated value of thermal conductivity = 0.0063 [W/mK]) achieved by BauderVIP is due to the high performance vacuum silica core. This silica is encased by a multi-layer composite aluminium foil, and then the air is removed from the silica to create a vacuum.

In order to protect the vacuum during installation and against normal construction processes, Bauder VIP is protected on the underside with a 3mm thick rubber granulate mat and on the upper surface with 17mm Bauder PIR. Both protective layers are bonded to the vacuum core to provide one complete encapsulated panel.

VIP insulation panels are 60mm thick and can be used in conjunction with other Bauder insulation boards to enhance U values if required.

Product Testing and CertificationThe Bauder VIP panels are certified under a European Technical Approval ETA-13/0493. This certification looks at a wide range of characteristics and at the following product performance:

n Density

n Thermal conductivity

n Compressive Strength

n Dimensional Stability

n Reaction to Fire

“The provisions made in this European Technical Approval are based on an assumed working life of the thermal insulation boards of 25 years provided that the conditions for storage, delivery, and installation are met”

Service and SupplyBauder has supplied VIP on many projects across Europe and has refined its bespoke specification and supply service process. At the initial stage of a project Bauder will supply a full product specification based on the client requested U value. This will allow extremely accurate estimating against information provided to our approved contractors.

Once a contractor has been appointed and the roof structure has been constructed, the appointed contractor can confirm to Bauder the built dimensions of the roof so that we can create an accurate roof plan, detailing the optimum sizes and layout of the VIP panels.
