Cala D'or is a delightful, chic resort situated on the South East coast of Mallorca. Approximately 45 mins from the airport, It boasts 7 sandy beaches lapped by inviting turquoise water. The marina is fast becoming one of the most cosmopolitan in Europe. It is surrounded by an array of restaurants and bars, offering a variety of cuisine. There is an attractive golf course about 10 minutes drive away at Val D'or, out of season this needs to be booked 2 months in advance.

Why Cala D’or?

Our Properties are privately owned in the Cala Ego’s area and are in under 5 mins light walk to two beaches, the marina, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. All offer Swimming pools, Sky freeview satellite t.v, fully fitted kitchens, washing machines, irons and ironing boards. Please see property descriptions for further information.

Climate - Mallorca has a Mediterranean climate, with mild stormy winters and hot, bright summers.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

These conditions are issued by Villas in Cala D’or. 1. Booking A provisional booking can be made by telephone. This will be held for three days pending receipt of deposits and completed booking form. The balance will be due 9 weeks before departure with a re-fundable damage deposit of £100.00 ( see note 4 ). A deposit of 20% of the total rental is required on booking. These deposits are non-refundable in cases of cancellation. If balance or holiday price is not received 9 weeks before departure cancellation may be assumed by the company with consequent loss of deposits. ( see note 2 ). The payment of your deposits and its acceptance forms the contract between you Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or. Your attention is however drawn to our Booking Conditions which clearly indicates our obligation to you and your commitment to us. The contract is governed by English Law and we request that you read these conditions before you sign the booking form. A invoice will be issued as confirmation of this booking in due course. 2. Cancellation If you wish to cancel your villa booking the following conditions apply. Cancellations must be received in writing ( see note 3 ), and from that date the following charges apply:- For Cancellation Dated Scale of Charges Prior to 9 weeks before departure Loss of deposit 6-9 weeks before departure 60% of total price 3-6 weeks before departure 85% of total price 3 weeks before departure 100% 3. It is a condition of booking that all passengers take out holiday insurance to provide against normal Holiday Risks and cancellation. 4. Damage Our properties all require damage deposit- All damage and breakages will be charged to the client and must be paid to one of our representatives in Cala D’or before vacating the villa. Our local representative must be notified of any damages so that repairs can be carried out as quickly as possible. We rely on clients co-operation to let us know of any breakages or damage. We also reserve the right to charge for damage and breakages not reported and found after departure that are not covered by your £100 damage deposit. 5. In the event of amendment or alteration on the booking form and a new invoice has to be issued an amendment fee of £25.00 per person or per alteration will be charged. However if this occurs within 9 weeks prior to departure cancellation charges will apply ( see note 2 ). All changes must be notified in writing. 6. Only those persons named on the booking form shall be permitted to occupy the accommodation, in no circumstances may the maximum number of persons stated in the villa description be exceeded without prior permission from Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or. All properties must be vacated no later than 10 a.m on the day of departure, and the property will not normally be ready until 3p.m on the day of arrival. 7. Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or agree to use all reasonably endeavours to provide the booked villa as described in the brochure, but will not be responsible if having used all reasonably endeavour it is unable to do so. However in the event of a cancellation being necessary we will offer a comparable substitute holiday accommodation or a refund of the dues paid. 8. All properties are privately owned and Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or are either the owners or acting as agents in the UK for owners or their representatives. Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or has taken all reasonably care in making the arrangements for the holidays offered on the internet or in the brochure, but it does not or own or operate the airlines, properties, hire cars or other facilities mentioned. It does not, therefore, accept any liability for death, personal injury, loss, damage or inconvenience arising from the provision of these holidays where due to the neglect, act of omission of any other company, firm or individual or the employees or agents thereof. Building work and the resulting noise from the site may occur at any time during the season at a neighbouring property. Obviously this is beyond the control of ourselves or our agents but we will endeavour to have the work terminated. If this is not achieved we will, where possible offer alternative accommodation of the same or higher standard. Unfortunately we do not receive advance notice of when the work will begin as it is carried out by third parties over whom we have no control. Whilst we assure you of our best endeavours to minimise the inconvenience, we regret we cannot pay any compensation or otherwise accept liability in this case.

8. Continued. Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or shall not be liable for any matter outside the reasonable control of Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or, including ( but not limited to ) Acts of God, War, Civic Disturbances, Strikes or other industrial Action, Acts of Government or failure of public supplies. We do not accept liability where the performance and/or prompt performance of our contract which is affected or prevented by reason of circumstances amounting to force majeure. 9. No responsibility can be accepted for the breakdown of public services including water and electricity. The electricity and water supply is often not as reliable as in the U.K. Breaks in supply do sometimes occur, we cannot be held responsible for this or any other lack of facility which is beyond our control. In case of breakdown in the property including heaters, pumps swimming pool equipment, please notify our local representative in Cala D’or immediately. If during the course of the holiday the client has any reason for complaint or dissatisfaction he/she should contact our representative immediately in order that remedial action may be taken. Furthermore, if any claim is contemplated it must be notified to us within two weeks of return with a copy of complaint signed by our representative. We cannot entertain any complaints if the above procedures have not been complied with. 10. Electrical Appliance: Many of the owners have installed air conditioning, dishwashers, washing machines and televisions in their villas and apartments to add to your holiday enjoyment. However, Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or will not be responsible for the malfunctioning of these items in case of breakdown. As with all electrical appliances they do occasionally fail and in most cases a specialist service engineer has to be called from Palma. This may take up to 7 days before a visit can be arranged. Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or, its agents and Representative will report such breakdowns to the villa owners, but cannot be held responsible under any circumstances for the failure of appliances. Our terms of conditions also applies where it is considered by our managing agents or the villa owners that an appliance has been broken by undue care or attention by the clients that the cost of such a repair we be charged accordingly. The owners reserve the right to visit their property at any time to undertake essential maintenance work, pool cleaning and gardening. 11. Whilst Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or make every reasonable effort to ensure that all descriptions relating to holidays supplied to clients are accurate at time of publication, it is not impossible however that changes in facilities may occur without our knowledge. In this event we will endeavour to communicate such changes but cannot be held responsible for resulting inaccuracies which are beyond our control. It therefore shall not be liable in the event that any aspect of the holiday fails for reasons outside their reasonable control. All distances and measurements are given are approximate and should be used as a guide only. 12. Gary Prowse and Amy Shakeshaft, Villas in Cala D’or reserve the right to reduce the price of their villas at any time, so as to make special offers. 13. Surcharges reflect adverse changes in the value of sterling, the price of other costs outside our control, which affect the cost of your accommodation. We hope surcharges will not be necessary but if they are, they will be limited and you will receive an invoice not later than four weeks before departure. 14. Satellite TV: Has been installed in several houses as an extra. However if for any reason there is a malfunction with the system or the TV we cannot be held responsible should the system not be operational. We would like to point out that the satellite will have been tuned in but touching the system in any way may cause loss of channels. A charge will be made if it is necessary to call out the Engineers. Please read instructions in the villa carefully. Please ensure that children do not play with the controls.
