Prayer for Restoration

Dear Lord,

I thank You that You are so kind to hear me when I ask You for help. Thank You that You are happy to give me wisdom from Your Word. And You are happy to give me the power to follow Your wisdom. You made us, so I have no doubt that You hold the answers to every relationship. I ask that You work in both of us to restore our broken relationship. Help me to do whatever I can, to reach out in love, to pursue peace, and not to make demands or try to manipulate. Help me to ask for forgiveness and to forgive. The way You treat me is my perfect example. You are so patient and kind. Even though You have every right to force me to do what You say, You wait. You reason with me. Please lead me every step, in every communication, and help me to wait on Your perfect timing. In Your Loving Name I pray, Jesus. Amen.

My friend, I want to teach you everything you need to know about relationships. I can guide you through the minefield of different personalities. The key is love. Love covers a multitude of sins. Love is patient and kind and not selfish. Love never fails. Be courageous to reach out in love, even if it is not reciprocated. I know how that feels. It’s ok. Just follow Me. As long as You rest in My steadfast, never-ending, unconditional love for you, everything will be fine. I love you, Jesus.
