06 .02.17 This Weeks Learning:Little Potters: Phonics we are on Ditty book 6 and reading CCVC words this week (eg chat, shop, chick.) We will be recapping all the graphemes we have learnt this term. I will send home these on flash cards to practice at home over half term.In English we will sharing some Paddington Bear books. We will be labelling a healthy lunch for him and making him a new label help him find a home. In Maths we will be comparing the weights of objects, using vocabulary; heaviest/ heavier, lightest/ lighter.

Big Potters: We will

ALL Potters:

It is ‘Internet Safety’ day on Tuesday this week (7th Feb) We will be focusing on how to ensure pictures we might share online are safe.

During our PE sessions, we will be making up a sequence of movements to the music ‘the snow Queen’ and in Gymnastics, we will develop our upper body strength on the ropes and our travelling skills on the bars and benches.

In PHSE we will be evaluating all that we have learnt this term about Bullying.

In Music we will be adding instruments to songs to feel the beat of the music.

In RE we will be acting out Moses’ story and adding captions to illustrations from the story.

In Computing, we will continue to make algorithms to control a mouse and a hungry lizard on the laptops. On Wednesday afternoon Big Potters will be having a word sorting afternoon, playing Pseudo word games and making an interactive display for in the classroom.

Little Potters will be going to Windmill Woods for their first ‘Forest school’ session on Wednesday afternoon this week. Please ensure suitable clothes and footwear are in school.
