We glimpse water buffalo wallowing in the Mekong river and, if we’re lucky, the rare Mekong river dolphin. We immerse ourselves in the hustle and bustle of Kampong Cham city, return the waves of welcoming Khmer villagers and peddle into the sleepy jungle backwaters, far away from the tourist trail. Our cycle culminates in a majestic route lined with ancient temples as we make our way to one of the finest UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Angkor Wat.
