at a glance
Action Challenge have been leading inspirational team adventures across the world for individuals, private groups, charities and corporate clients since 1999. Our trips enable people to experience the world’s most exhilarating locations, often in aid of charity. At the heart of every challenge is team spirit and fulfilment; together we take on once-in-a-lifetimeadventures, achieve formidable goals and forge friendships for life.
This remarkable ride takes us from the colourful city of Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) in Southern Vietnam to historic AngkorWat in Cambodia. Together we’ll experience an unforgettable week off work, in another world.
We begin our adventure exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels, an elaborate warren of underground tunnels constructed byVietnamese resistance fighters, before hopping on our saddles. As a group, we cycle through rural Vietnam and overthe border into Cambodia where we soon find ourselves surrounded by paddy fields and rubber plantations, peddlingpast traditional wooden houses on stilts and taking shade under coconut palms.
We glimpse water buffalo wallowing in the Mekong river and, if we’re lucky, the rare Mekong river dolphin. We immerseourselves in the hustle and bustle of Kampong Cham city, return the waves of welcoming Khmer villagers and peddleinto the sleepy jungle backwaters, far away from the tourist trail.
Our cycle culminates in a majestic route lined with ancient temples as we make our way to one of the finest UNESCOWorld Heritage Sites, Angkor Wat. After exploring the ancient temples and absorbing their wonder we celebrate the endof our ride and the beginning of lasting friendships with a special dinner in the market town of Siem Reap.

payment optionsATOL is a scheme that protects you fromlosing money or being stranded abroad ifyour travel company collapses. ActionChallenge is 100% ATOL bonded, whichprovides you with full financial protection. On receipt of your registration fee, you willreceive an ATOL certificate explainingyour protection.
A REGISTRATION DEPOSIT of £299 (for 2016/2017) is required to secure your place, paid in full by card at the time of registration.
Once registered, there are 3 PAYMENT OPTIONS to fund the balance of the trip cost.Full details are on our website.
1) SELF FUNDED
For anyone who wants to pay for the entire trip themselves. It’s then completely up toyou whether or not you choose to raise any money for a charity of your choice.
The total all inclusive cost of this trip is £1,799 (for 2016/2017), which, after you pay the£299 Registration Deposit, leaves a balance of £1,500. This final balance is due forpayment 10 weeks before your departure along with any fuel surcharges levied by theairline.
2) SPONSORSHIP FUNDED
This is for anyone who wants to take on this challenge and will link it with fundraising asignificant sum of money for a charity of their choice. You would have to raise at least£3,000 (for 2016/2017) via sponsorship and donations from friends, family andcolleagues, and be confident at the outset that you can achieve this total.
Pay the Registration Deposit and nominate a charity to fundraise for. All fundraisinggoes directly to your charity and providing that you raise at least £3,000 (for 2016/2017),your charity will pay for the balance of your trip costs to Action Challenge. That balance, paid by your charity, is £1,500 (the same as if you were you were ‘Self Funded’) - thecharity will retain at least £1,500 to help fund their work. You will have to pay any airlinefuel surcharges 10 weeks prior to departure.
3) MIXED FUNDED
A mix of the 2 options above! You pay about half the trip cost yourself, and alsofundraise for your charity. They pay the remaining balance of your trip costs. Ideal foranyone who wants to take on the challenge and also fundraise for a charity, BUT ishappy to pay a reasonable proportion of the trip cost themselves, which with yourregistration deposit, is set at a level that covers at least the costs of flights &accommodation; perfect for those who feel more at ease asking for sponsorship inrespect to the ‘challenge’ component of their trip.
Pay the Registration Deposit and nominate a charity to fundraise for. All fundraisinggoes directly to your charity and providing that you raise at least £2,200 (for 2016/2017),your charity will pay a portion of your trip cost to Action Challenge. That balance, paid byyour charity, is £875. At the same time, you will be required to pay the remainingbalance yourself, which will be a figure of £625 (These two amounts add up to the sameas the ‘Self Funded’ final balance) - the charity will retain at least £1,325 to help fundtheir work. You will have to pay any airline fuel surcharges 10 weeks prior to departure.
