Vidin harbour

• Vidin harbour is the first major port on the Danube in the Bulgarian section of the river, and the first Danubian port. The port has a well developed infrastructure - roads and water connections, representing major European corridors as well as a significant presence of international road transport, etc.

• Services provided to vessels are: - provision of pontoon, - electricity supply, - water - acceptance and treatment of household waste from vessels.

• "Vidin harbour" Ltd. is a company with state property. The Company is a port operator of port activities and services.

• "Vidin harbour" Ltd. has no registered branches and participation in other companies.

Vidin harbour has a Ro-Ro ramp with a width of 30-50 meters, allowing elopement of one ship, three serving ships and two shifts per day, maximum flow of 72-75 thousand TIR units per year, while four ships and extended hours - to about 100,000 TIR units per year.

• Port terminal "Vidin-North" is located in the northern industrial zone. The terminal has an area of 10,000 m2 open storage area and there is a warehouse under the customs warehousing procedure.

• Currently the port has a berth length of 200m.

• The port quay wall is inclined stone embankment, with a length of 1440 meters.

• The train station, bus station and river harbour create comfort for arriving and departing passengers, without the need for additional transport.

In 2014 166 cruise ships landed at Vidin harbour. In the last three years the number of cruise ships is almost the same.

22,614 tourists descended at Vidin harbour in 2014.

Tourists cruise ships come from countries outside Europe such as USA, Canada, etc, but travel from EU ports; and ships for input-output control are mainly from Ukraine and Serbia.

Port Terminal Vidin Center does not perform loading and unloading.
