As Administrator for Centre Point Health Care, Vicki Brown has the over-achiever gene. One look at her resume and you’ll see that she has a breadth of understanding in not one, but four areas of health care: Respiratory, nursing, education and administration.

Throughout her schooling, Brown worked full-time. Earning an AS in nursing from Chipola College and a BSN from the University of South Alabama.

WhatWhat’s more, she’s educated and credentialed in three areas and possesses over two and a half decades of management experience. With certification in respiratory, Brown was a change-maker for patient well-being and in charge of a tri-county area.

She wanted to have more effect on patients’ lives and progressed to nursing. Armed with a BSN and an altruistic nature, Brown became director of nursing to help care staff overcome any challenges they face in meeting patients’ goals.

WWith her broad medical perspective, she was able to transition into a director of education to highlight and enhance staff development in quality outcomes. Developing facility education and implementing policies, her efforts went to improve health care surveys and superior ratings.

Her entire career has a strong focus on the post-acute industry. Within the clinical arena, she has developed corrective plans to aid in key facility processes and provided regulatory education to clinical staff.

BrownBrown’s perspective differs from the hospital industry mantra that runs on assembly-line medicine and quantity of care.

She believes that skilled-nursing rehabilitative clinicians gave up many years of their lives in medical education to care for the sick and suffering. They don’t want to waste their time on paperwork, documentation, and laptops. Brown knows that patients don’t want this either.

BecauseBecause she has been on the front lines of patient-care delivery in multiple areas, her focus is not on numbers and spreadsheets. It’s on patient happiness. And moving forward for best outcomes, her sole focus is on the patient.

Today, the health care-minded Brown is a recognized and endorsed expert in patient care processes related to customer satisfaction and 5-star outcomes.

AsAs a native of Florida’s Panhandle, Brown likes the small town feeling where everyone knows and helps their neighbor. She wouldn’t change her address, but if she could possess a super-power, she would want to accomplish projects in half the time so that she could spend more time with vulnerable and underserved populations, her family, and her spouse Fate, and two sons Jack and Beau.
