Long serving county schools coach and Vice President Alec Brader has come up with some interesting names that he thinks represent excellent examples of how our county’s footballers have gone on to make an impression in professional football. They line up in a 4-4-2 formation.
Will one of the players on show tonight be able to break into his line up?

Volume 2 - Issue 2
Good evening and a happy new year to everyone at tonight’s game. On behalf of the Lincolnshire Schools’ FA I would like to offer a warm welcome to players, officials and supporters from Hertfordshire Schools’ FA. I am sure everyone involved in tonight’s fixture will be eagerly awaiting this, the quarter final of the Under 14 Inter County Trophy, as each game goes by the stakes get higher
and I am sure the boys will do their best to put on a show that everyone connected to schools’ football can be proud of. The whole of the association would like to thank Boston United Football Club for hosting this evening’s fixture. We are truly grateful for their warm welcome and hospitality, we are sure use of this ground will give the boys a truly memorable experience. Our thanks must also go to the Lincolnshire Football Association and Boston Referees Society Match Officials who will be in charge of the fixture this evening. Once again the Lincolnshire Under 14 team find themselves competing in the Quarter Final of the Inter County Trophy following a comprehensive win in our away trip to Buckinghamshire. This involved a long coach journey and an overnight stop. I know I speak for both Matt and Graham in being hugely impressed with the players attitude and behaviour on the trip. They represented their schools and the association excellently! The boys made the very most of the trip to ensure that the end result was what they deserved, even if they did have to take part in one of Graham’s quizzes… Well done boys! Our thanks go to the Crookes family for supplying the change strip for the boys to wear in that fixture. If any local business is interested in supporting the Lincolnshire Schools’ Football Association to provide representative football or County Cup competitions then please do not hesitate to contact me. Finally, I hope we are all entertained by this evening’s fixture and wish the winners all the very best in the semi final (draw to be published on Monday 9 January at 1 pm). Enjoy the game. Tonight’s match sponsor In addition to support from Boston United FC for tonight’s game, we are delighted to announce that Static Security Systems have offered to pay the associations’ costs for official's and post-match food.
