USAGE The thermostatically controlled heating system is set up to be exclusively used with the Vicatronic for testing with controlled temperature and humidity, according to the EN196-3 standard. The apparatus heats water from room temperature to 20°±0.1°C; the water then enters the E043 tray (gene rally placed on the Vicat). The thermostatically controlled heating system consists of a stainless steel water bath with a capacity of 10 litres, immersion heater, digital thermostat, motor pump, feeders, inlet/outlet system for the E043 water bath and a platform for positioning the Vicatronic. NB: The thermostatically controlled heating system does not consist of a cooling system. Inside the water bath, however, there is a cooling coil where cooled water must run so the temperature of the water bath can be reduced when necessary. The thermostatic bath is for general laboratory use with a water temperature of up to 35°±0.1°C; in th is case it is necessary to detach the originally attached pipe from the “SMALL TANK” tap and connect the tubing directly to its new use. For correct usage of the thermostatic bath refer to the relevant instructions and maintenance manual attached to these instructions. Any other use is considered improper and therefore negligent. Machine use is allowed only in places free from danger of explosion or fire. During operation check for conditions of danger. Immediately stop the machine should it be working irregularly, and consult the authorised dealer’s Sales Service department. It is the Client’s responsibility to verify at the time of installation and use that no conditions of use arise which are different to those indicated. Refer to the Constructor when in doubt

ASSEMBLING PROCEDURE AND MACHINE CALIBRATION

How to connect the apparatus to the vicatronic E044N:

• Place the apparatus on a horizontal surface. • Position the vicatronic A4 on the A7 base so that it is

perfectly centred as shown in FIG.2. • Fill the A6 bath with water up to 1 cm from the edge. • Place the A6 bath on the vicatronic plate A4 shown in

FIG. 1 and FIG 2. • Lift the lid and fill the thermostatic bath A1 with water. • When the lid of the thermostatic bath is closed, ensure

that the lower end of the suction pipe is inserted in a hole in the grill inside the A1 bath, as shown in FIG. 4.

• Insert the probe in the specifically provided hole in the A1 thermostatic bath as shown in FIG. 5.

• Position the nozzle of the adjustable water pipe A3, inside the A6 bath, approx 10 mm from the top edge of the tray as in FIG.3.

• Position the nozzle of the adjustable pipe for water suction A4 inside the A6 tray. The end of the nozzle is the level which the water will reach inside the bath (see fig.3) NB: due to the inaction of the system, at the start of suction the nozzle will not immediately be able to expel the incoming water and so the level will rise by about 2mm more compared to the level of the nozzle; it is there advisable to check the water level at the start in order to avoid overflow and resulting damage to the Vicatronic.

• Switch on the thermostatic bath and the motor pump by pressing the green and orange buttons on the thermostatic bath.

• Turn on the “SMALL TANK” tap which allows water to exit the A1 thermostatic bath to the A3 pipe

• Regulate input water flow to the bath with the A5 tap so that the A4 nozzle can expel the quantity of water in the A6 bath and the water level remains constant and does not overflow.

The group has now been calibrated, and is ready for use.

N.B.: for calibration and use of the thermostatic bath consult the appropriate instructions.
