History

We are particularly proud to be

renowned as a reliable and dynamic

partner in design, manufacture and

supply of outlet fittings, special flanges,

connectors and special forged pieces.

Our foundation dates back to the

beginning of the Eighties, when

Franzosi Senior decided to create a

valuable, competent, trustworthy and

highly competitive Company to serve

petrochemical, gas and energy

cogeneration plants and industries.

His peculiar experience of over 20

years in mechanical machining,

materials and cost control gave

immediate push to the new formed

company, soon achieving a leading

position worldwide.

After the initial production of branch

outlet fittings and forged fittings, VIAR

Meccanica replied to the international

market by starting to supply a

complete range of special “tailor-

made” pieces.

Due to a constant growth, VIAR

Meccanica is continuously adjusting

dimension, image and structure as a

response to the increasing market

requests.

Quality plan and certificating

to AD 2000-Merkblatt W0/TRD100),

API, PED (accordance with

Pressure Equipment Directive

To assure that the high quality

standards representing the first

met, VIAR Meccanica buy

all forgings exclusively from

qualified Italian forging shops

having a quality system fully

implemented and certified.

Forging process & Heat tr

eatment

All forgings used in the manufacture

of our products have to be heat

treated in accordance with the

specifications applicable to the

material used. No material can enter

the “incoming material control area”

missing the covering certificate for

chemical and mechanical properties

and related heat treatment diagram.

An ongoing and accurate check of

raw materials, carefully selected

and purchased from qualified

suppliers only, tests and assures

the perfection of the physical and

mechanical features. Upon

acceptance of the material, a Heat

Code is issued and printed on the

piece to guarantee permanent

identification.

During all processes, inspections

are not limited to visual and

dimensional checks, but include all

other tests specifically requested

such as: heat treatment, hardness,

NDE, etc.

Laboratory

In addition to the incoming material control,

VIAR Quality department carries out regular controls

during the manufacturing cycle.

VIAR Meccanica makes in the in-house laboratory quanto-

metric, destructive, non destructive and special tests.

As per our incoming material control procedure a spot quantity

of each heat number is subject to quantometric analysis.

Each machine operator monitors and checks every single component.

Warehouse

VIAR stores

all austenitic material

in plastic boxes,

to avoid

any possible

contamination.

All Viar pieces, as per MSS-SP25, are carefully stored per heat type and size.

Packing & Shipping

All ordered items are individually tagged, packed in plastic bags

and closed in carton boxes or seaworthy wooden cases, in order

to prevent any possible damage during transportation.

Each case or box is always

including the relevant packing

list and a copy of the

certificate 3.1 on request.

Original documents are sent

separately by parcel service.
