Post News February & March 2015Comrades,

Winter is half way done and

it has been a nice one. I

hope all are staying warmand comfortable. I know we

are at the post because we

just put three brand newheating/cooling units on our

    roof. Weve had some

    issues with the old units

throughout the summer andinto the winter, but now that

    problem is behind us. We

have a few things comingup on the radar; Valentines

    day we will be serving

prime rib (see the add in

this circular for details), thestate Bantam Hockey

    Tournament will be held

March 27th-29th, we willbe doing corned beef and

    cabbage for St. Patricks

Day (also see the add), andMay 4, 2013 is the 4th

    Annual Cruising For The

Cure Motorcycle Run. Ihope you can join us for

these fun events or stop bythe club and say hi.

    Thank you,

    Joe Butler, Commander

    Dear Auxiliary Sisters,

Hope everyone had a great Holiday.

Last year was a great year and we look

forward to another good one. A lot ofyou showed up for the Christmas party

this year. We had a short meeting and

then played games with prizes and apotluck; it was nice to see so many

    faces there.

The Post and Auxiliary has the Mid

Winter conference in Minneapolis. These meetings are always very

    informative. The Junior Girls

Auxiliary will be joining us again thisyear. They made crafts that they will

be selling after the convention to fund

some of their expenses on helping the

local Veterans. Our membership is steadily going

down so if you know of anyone that

would like to join please have themcontact us and we can give them some

information on what we do. The

Auxiliary is a great way to give backto our local Veterans and we have

shown our commitment to them this

past year. We are always open forsuggestions on any ideas you may

have to improve the lives of ourVeterans and invite you to join us inour meetings which are the first

Mondays of every month at 6:00 PM.

Just as a reminder your 2015 Dues

should be turned in and if you have notyou should have received a reminder

in the mail with a stamped returned

envelope for your convenience. If youhave any questions on this please

    contact me at 701-388-1563.

Thank you and can't to see what theNew Year bring.

    Sincerely,

    Joann Lien, President

    Junior Girls News

The Jr Girls have been busy.

They have been up to the Fargo

VA to help the ladies of 1223with bingo the last two months

and they helped the VFWLA of

District 9 with bingo on Jan. 1st.For Christmas they came in and

    baked and decorated sugar

    cookies and made Christmas

decorations for all the patients atthe Fargo VA.

    This Friday we head to

Minneapolis for the VFW Mid-Winter conference. Five of the

Jr Girls are planning to come.

This is a great time for them to

meet the members of the otherunits around the state. They

    share ideas, laugh together and

have some fun. They met someof the girls two years ago at

camp, and they continue to be

friends and look forward to theopportunity to get together.

The Girls made a very nice

Poppy Display that went to thelast District meeting and will be

going to Mid-Winter to competein the contest. It is titledRemember the Forgotten, be

sure to look for it at the club, it

will be down there in a couple of

weeks. If you know any one that would

be interested in joining the Unit,

    please give them my phonenumber.
