Welcome to the 34th season of VETTA CHAMBERMUSIC. We continue to present amazingchamber music with inspired musicians for you, our fantastic audience. We have planned more concerts than ever this season. Due to the growth of our Downtown audience, we are pleased to expand our Pyatt Hall Seriesto four concerts. Thursday Afternoons, that now include the full program, are growing inpopularity, and our flagship Friday Eveningscontinue to receive glowing reviews at the post-concert receptions. As well, the musicians will enjoy five trips to Salt Spring Island, wherewe perform each program at ArtSpring for an enthusiastic crowd.

The Vetta String Quartet returns to thestage, with Maria Larionoff, Joan Blackman,David Harding, and Eugene Osadchy. Special guest artists this season include Arthur Rowe and Jane Coop on piano, Jonathan Goldman on bandoneon, and Lorna McGhee on flute.

You may notice Beethoven features prominently this season, culminating in the performance ofthe great Kreutzer Sonata in March to celebrate his 250th birthday. In addition, we have selecteda choice variety of classics and unusual works.Besides the essential Brahms, Schubert, and Haydn, you will hear works of composers less familiar to our audiences, such as Korngold, the great Hollywood film composer, Piazzolla theArgentinian that brought Tango to the classical music world, and our favourite Brazilian Villa Lobos.
