Medical CareEligibility- Served active military and were separated
under any condition other than dishonorable. Current and former members of Reserves or National Guard who were called to active duty by a federal order and completed the full period for which they were called to active duty may be eligible.
Recently deployed are automatically Priority 6 for up to 5 years after deployment.
Enlisted after September 7 1980 must have served 24 continuous months or full period for which called to active duty unless discharged for a disability.
Enlisted before September 1980 apply because there are a number of exceptions to minimum duty requirements.

Veterans’ Group Life Insurance (VGLI) allows Veterans to convert SGLI to a civilian program of lifetime renewable term coverage after separation from service.
Family Service members’ Group Life Insurance (FSGLI)- for spouses and children of Service members with SGLI coverage
Service members’ Group Life Insurance Traumatic Injury Protection (TSGLI)- automatic of SGLI if servicemember suffers losses such as amputations, blindness, and paraplegia, due to traumatic injuries in service.
Service-Disabled Veterans’ Life Insurance (S-DVI)- for veterans who have been rated with a Service connected disability of 0% or greater.

6749The veteran must have entered service from the state of Wisconsin, or must have resided in the state of Wisconsin for 12 consecutive months since his/her discharge from military service. A spouse of a veteran can also reside at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, provided they are admitted while the veteran is at some type of facility (i.e. assisted living, nursing home, hospital) or if the spouse is a widow/widower. If Veteran is rated at 70% or greater it cost nothing same goes for pre-approved private homes.
Other State BenefitsDrivers License Indicator- Length of Service: You
must have at least one period of service that encompassed at least two continuous years of “active duty” or 90 days of “active duty” during a Statutorily-Designated Wartime Period, where the character of service meets the requirements.
Free Fishing and Small Game License- You must obtain and use the voucher within 365 days of the date of discharge or release. Use form WDVA 2240
Or if Wisconsin resident members of the Armed Forces with proof that they are on leave/furlough are eligible for free fishing and small game hunting licenses. Members of the Armed Forces stationed in Wisconsin should contact the nearest DNR Service Center for information on eligibility
