SALE TO A NEW OWNER THAT SPECIALIZES IN

DECOMMISSIONING.

• NorthStar’s team of decommissioning and dismantling experts, who have deep experience in the numerous aspects of this complex project, would get the job done safely and responsibly;

• Decommissioning would be accelerated compared to the current schedule, beginning in 2021 (rather than 2068) and ending (for the portions of the site other than the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation) by 2030 (rather than 2075);

• Accelerating decommissioning would generate increased economic activity at the site in the nearer term, resulting in benefits to the local economy in Vernon, Brattleboro and southern Vermont; and

• The large majority of the Vermont Yankee site would be available for potential re-use decades earlier than planned, benefiting local businesses and residents.
